A valve plug assembly includes a plug base, a first end of the base arranged for attachment to a valve stem, a second end of the plug base including a bore having a first portion and a second portion. The second portion of the bore is a conical terminus forming a first seat. A spacer has a through bore, a first end, and a second end, and is sized for insertion in the bore of the plug base and has a conical shape to engage the first seat, and the spacer also forms a second seat. A plug tip has a through bore and a conical end engaging the second seat and is arranged to engage the valve seat, and a cap screw extends through the plug tip and the spacer to mechanically secure the plug tip to the plug base.

A process control valve comprises a valve body having an inlet and an outlet and a plug. The plug selectively restricts fluid communication between the inlet and the outlet. The plug can have a plug body and a plurality of fins extending radially outward from the plug body between a first end of the plug and a second end of the plug. Each one of the plurality of fins can have a tapered section proximate the second end of the plug. The tapered section can taper radially inward toward the second end of the plug.

A thermally compensated valve trim component for a fluid flow control device is provided. The valve trim component includes a base and a sleeve coupled to the base. The base is formed of a first material having a first thermal expansion coefficient, while the sleeve is formed of a second material having a second thermal expansion coefficient different from the first thermal expansion coefficient. The valve trim component further includes a thermal compensating apparatus arranged within a gland defined between the base and the sleeve. The thermal compensating apparatus is formed of a third material having a third thermal expansion coefficient different from the first and second thermal expansion coefficients, such that the thermal compensating apparatus minimizes a resultant thermal expansion differential of the valve trim component.

Seal ring assemblies for use with rotary valves and methods to manufacture the same are disclosed. A seal ring assembly is described that includes a ring-shaped seal to be fixed within the rotary valve, where the seal enables the sealing engagement of a control member with a flow control aperture. The seal is compressed between a first seal clamp and a second seal clamp by a compressive force maintained by a plurality of fasteners extending through the seal and fixed to the first and second seal clamps.
