An onboard rebreathing loop system resident on an aircraft for providing oxygen to aircraft personnel includes a ceramic oxygen generating system (COGS) module configured to receive an inlet air and output a high purity oxygen (O) gas into a breathing loop and a carbon dioxide (CO) scrubber module configured to receive exhaled air from the aircraft personnel and output a CO-scrubbed air into the breathing loop. The high purity Ogas and CO-scrubbed air are mixed to form a mixed gas having a partial pressure of Osuitable for breathing by the aircraft personnel. The onboard rebreathing loop system may further include an odor removal module, an air temperature and/or humidity control module to condition the mixed gas before breathing by the aircraft personnel, and a gas sensor module to confirm the partial pressure of Owithin the mixed gas before breathing by the aircraft personnel.

Closed or semi-closed loop onboard ceramic oxygen generation system

A coalescing filter includes a housing, a top fitting and bottom fitting. The housing includes a sidewall defining a central chamber configured to receive a filter element therein. The top fitting is coupled to a top end of the housing and includes an inlet port configured to receive a moist source gas and direct the source gas into the filter element. The bottom fitting is coupled to a bottom end of the housing and includes an outlet orifice configured to discharge a dry product gas. The bottom fitting includes a pedestal configured to extend within the central chamber a spaced distance from the plurality of sidewalls. The pedestal is configured to seat the filter element thereon and further includes an outlet port in fluid communication with the outlet orifice.

Water separation for a system using a PSA process

A buckle release mechanism can be used to couple together various types of straps, webbing or belts. In one particular embodiment, the release mechanism forms part of a parachute canopy for a pilot's harness. The mechanism includes a housing with a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism employs two rotatable locking pins with associated cams and openings. An opening is formed within the housing for receiving a yoke. A striker plate with opposing lugs is formed at one end of the yoke. The lugs cooperate with the locking pins to either retain or eject the striker plate within the housing.

Buckle release mechanism

An air drying system for OBOGS is provided. The system comprises a bypass valve having an opened state and a closed state. The bypass valve is in fluid communication with an air inlet providing pressurized air. A dryer unit is configured to produce dried air when the bypass valve is in the closed state. An OBOGS unit produces oxygen enriched air while a purge valve has an opened state and a closed state. When the bypass valve is its closed state, the purge valve is in its opened state thereby directing a portion of the dried air to the oxygen generating system unit and a portion of the dried air to the dryer unit. When the bypass valve is its open state the pressurized air passes directly to the OBOGS unit.

A first aspect of the invention includes a multi-stage gas compressor having a central cam with a plurality of pistons operably connected to and radially extending from the central cam. The cam follower assemblies each include a roller element connected to a roller bracket which rides within and along a guide channel defines by facing grooves formed in housing end plates.

A cam driven piston compressor includes one or more cams powered by a motor, the cams being adapted to rotate through 360 degrees, and one or more cam followers, each of which is in contact with one of the cams. The compressor also includes one or more pistons wherein each of the pistons is attached to one of the cam followers, one or more cylinders wherein each of the cylinders encloses one of the pistons, and a compressor head in contact with the cylinders.
