A method for replacing a portion of a first outer bearing assembly for a generator with a second outer bearing assembly. The first outer bearing assembly includes a first liner and a first outer bearing race. The method includes removing the first outer bearing race and the first liner and inserting a second liner. The second liner is matched to a given diameter such that the second outer bearing assembly fits within the generator. A position ring of the second outer bearing assembly is inserted against the machined second liner and a generator housing. A second bearing race of said second outer bearing assembly is inserted against the position ring. The second bearing race of the second outer bearing assembly is connected against the position ring and against a generator housing.

Bug roller bearing outer race assembly

A dual-output generator includes a first generator with a rotor, a second generator with a rotor, and first and second power converters. The rotor of the first generator is coupled to the rotor of the second generator for common rotation with the rotor of the first generator. The first power converter connects electrically to the first generator for converting rotation of the first generator rotor into direct current power. The second power converter connects electrically to the second generator for converting rotation of the second generator rotor into constant frequency alternating current power.

Dual-output generators

A rotor connection support comprising a main connection ring configured to reduce the moment load on fastener locations (such as threaded fastener locations) by integrating stand-off posts into a high strength plate are discussed herein. These stand-offs may be configured to reduce the stresses on the high stress concentration/low cross section threads. Also, included is an improved wire routing and wire support configured to maximize the fatigue cycles of the main field lead wires.

High speed rotor connection support

The present disclosure relates to generators and their components. Specifically, a grounded radial diode pack is disclosed herein. A design to accommodate safe dissipation static charge build-up is disclosed. Safe dissipation of accumulated charge involves the provision of a suitable electrical path that will allow charges to flow to ground.

An outer bearing race for use in a generator housing includes a body having a radially inner surface for contacting bearings. The radially inner surface has a right side and a left side with a chamfer attaching to the right side of the radially inner surface for leading the bearings into contact with the radially inner surface. A right surface extends radially outwardly from the chamfer and a left surface extends radially outwardly from the left side. A ledge extends axially from the left surface and parallel and in register with the radially inner surface. A first angled surface extends radially outwardly from the right side surface and axially towards the left surface and a second angled surface extends radially outwardly from the ledge and axially towards the right side surface. A first extension extends radially outwardly from and attaches to the first angled surface and the second angled surface.

A standpipe assembly to connect to a starter/generator housing includes a standpipe with a first end that sits within the housing and a second end that connects to the standpipe base; and one or more brackets to secure the standpipe to the housing. The housing includes a standpipe base formed integral to the housing.

The present disclosure relates to generators and their components. Specifically, a grounded diode pack is disclosed herein. A design to accommodate non-damaging dissipation static charge build-up is disclosed. Non-damaging dissipation of accumulated charge involves the provision of a suitable electrical path that will allow charges to flow to ground.

A generator includes a drive gear mounted to a main rotor shaft though a drive gear bearing and an input jaw plate keyed to the drive gear for rotation therewith, the input jaw plate defines input jaws which selectively mesh with the disconnect jaws, the disconnect shaft axially movable in response to a disconnect system which axially separates input jaws and the disconnect jaws to permit relative rotation between a main rotor shaft and the drive gear through the drive gear bearing.

An example bearing support arrangement includes a support and a race of bearing assembly. A flange extends radially from the race. The flange and the support are configured to be held against a housing to secure the bearing assembly relative to the housing.

An accessory system includes an accessory gearbox which includes a geartrain and a 2-Pole generator integrally mounted with the accessory gearbox such that a drive gear of the generator is in meshing engagement with the geartrain, containing a shear section, disconnect mechanism, and torsional compliance.
