This disclosure describes systems, devices, apparatuses, kits, and methods of accessing a container. In a particular implementation, a container includes a housing that defines a cavity and a ladder coupled to the housing. The ladder is movable relative to the housing while the ladder is coupled to the housing. The ladder is movable relative to the housing between: a first position in which the ladder is disposed within the cavity; and a second position in which the ladder is disposed outside the cavity.

A vehicle storage system may include a deck configured to span substantially a total width of a vehicle bed, four support feet including two front support feet and two rear support feet, a center support extending in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle bed between the support feet and configured to support the deck, and a front vertical transverse support configured to secure the two front support feet and to support the deck. Alternatively, the vehicle storage system may be configured to span approximately half a total width of a vehicle bed, and include two support feet situated in corners on a same lateral side of the vehicle bed, a center support extending in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle bed between the support feet and an opposing side of the vehicle bed not spanned by the deck, and a front vertical transverse support.

A truck storage system may include a deck configured to span substantially a total width of a truck bed, four support feet, each support foot situated at a respective corner of the truck bed and configured to support the deck, and a center support extending in a longitudinal direction of the truck bed between the support feet and configured to support the deck. Alternatively, the truck storage system may be configured to span approximately half a total width of a truck bed, and include two support feet situated in corners on a same lateral side of the truck bed, and a center support extending in a longitudinal direction of the truck bed between the support feet and an opposing side of the truck bed not spanned by the deck.

A portable, hand-operated rescue tool is provided for rescue and extreme duty operations where an object needs to be cut, crushed, pierced and separated, or lifted. The rescue tool includes a body, a support handle and articulating jaw force members used to impart high forces on an object. The tool includes a manually-operated, pivoting actuation handle connected to a high pressure fluid displacement system to pivotally rotate the jaw force arms in a selected direction or mode of operation to suit the situation.

Portable rescue tool and method of use

There is provided a roof for a vehicle where each one of its right and left side wall has at least a first and a second door opening. The roof structure comprises a lattice structure and an outer shell. The lattice structure has two pairs of longitudinal segments adapted to be located at a top portion of the first and second door openings and two diagonal segments. One diagonal segment extends from a first longitudinal segment adapted to be located at the first door opening in the right wall to a second longitudinal segment adapted to be located at the second door opening in the opposite wall. The other diagonal segment extends from a first longitudinal segment adapted to be located at the first door opening in the left wall to a second longitudinal segment adapted to be located at the second door opening in the opposite wall. The outer shell is placed atop the lattice structure and extends from a region proximate the front end to a region proximate the rear end of the vehicle.

An apparatus in connectible to a steering wheel for aiding disabled drivers. The apparatus includes a base having a first part and a second part for moving with a respect to one another. The base defines a steering-wheel-receiving aperture between the first and second parts for allowing the base to substantially sheath a portion of the steering wheel. A hinge connection is formed between the first and second parts of the base allowing pivotal movement with respect to one another. The hinge connection is formed along a common edge portion of the first and second parts for allowing placement of the base with respect to the steering wheel. A latch releasibly retains the first and second parts of the base with respect to one another. The latch is connected to the first and second parts opposite from the hinge axis. A knob is connected to the base for gripping by the driver with one hand for controlling movement of the steering wheel when the base is attached to the steering wheel. Preferably, the knob is releasible connected to the base. A locking member operably engages with a stem connected to the knob in order to retain the knob in a locked position with respect to the base. The locking member allows removal of the stem and connected knob from the base when selectively moved from the locked position to a release position.
