A guidance device is disclosed. The device may comprise a tracking pad with a guiding opening and a plurality of sensors operable with at least one beacon on a needle to track the disposition of the needle at least when a distal end of the needle is inserted into the guiding opening. Surgical guidance devices, systems, and methods

Devices, systems, and methods are provided for breaking a kidney stone(s) into smaller particles, fragments, and/or stone dust; and removing the same from a patient. The medical device may include a tube having a distal end, a proximal end, a port located proximal of the distal end, and a length of the tube extending between the proximal end and the distal end. A first portion of the tube may be proximal of the port and have a first cross-sectional area, while a second portion of the tube may be distal of the port and have a second cross-sectional area smaller than the first cross-sectional area. A first lumen may extend from the proximal end to the distal end of the tube. A second lumen may in communication with the port to fluidly connect the proximal end of the tube with the port.

The present disclosure is directed to a medical device. Systems and methods are provided for utilizing a laser to break a kidney stones into smaller fragments and/or dust, and removing particles, stone fragments and/or stone dust from a patient. The present disclosure is directed to a medical device. An endoscopic system includes an endoscopic imager configured to capture image frames of a target site within a living body and a processor configured to apply a spatial transform to a preliminary set of image frames, the spatial transform converting the image frames into cylindrical coordinates; calculate a map image from the spatially transformed image frames, each pixel position in the map image being defined with a vector of fixed dimension; align a current image frame with the map image and apply the spatial transform to the current image frame; fuse the spatially transformed current image frame to the map image to generate a fused image; and apply an inverse spatial transform to the fused image to generate an enhanced current image frame having a greater spatial resolution than the current image frame. The system also includes a display displaying the enhanced current image frame.

System and method for endoscopic video enhancement, quantitation and surgical guidance

An endoscopic system includes an endoscopic imager configured to capture images of a target site within a living body and a processor configured to determine one or more image metrics for each one of a plurality of image frames captured over a time span, analyze changes in the image metrics over the time span, and determine a turbidity metric for the target site based on the analyzed changes in the image metrics.

The method comprises placing a catheter into the interior kidney volume through a ureter, occluding a portion of the ureter with a distal end of the catheter, forming an exit port through an exterior kidney surface, flowing the contrasting and dilating agents through the one or more lumens to supply the mixture in the interior kidney volume, and flushing a portion of the mixture out of the exit port.
