The sleeve is rotatably coupled with the housing. The drive member is rotatably coupled with the housing and is operably coupled with the sleeve such that rotation of the drive member facilitates rotation of the sleeve. The driven member is movable with respect to the guide member between a retracted position and an extended position.

The step base includes a stepping surface for supporting a foot of a user. The step base is positioned laterally outboard relative to the at least one ladder rail providing an extended support for a user when entering and exiting the tree stand.

The device includes a strap fixed onto itself so as to form a first loop and a pair of free ends. An attachment member includes a body with a pair of support arms disposed on opposite ends of the body. Each of the pair of free ends of the strap are attached to a corresponding support arm, laterally spacing the free ends from each other, giving the device a generallydimension. The strap is wrapped around the load and the attachment member is pulled through the first loop and the strap is cinched by pulling on the attachment member. The attachment member is then secured to the supporting structure.

A device configured to secure a load to a supporting structure and a method of using the device to secure the load to the supporting structure are provided. The mounting bracket includes an angled shape for engaging a surface of the tree. A harness is attached to the handle bracket. The harness cinches about the tree and secures the hand grip assembly relative to the tree.
