Owners of sump pumps often have no way of identifying a sump pump is failing unless they are home to witness a failing sump pump in real-time. Current solutions to this issue rely on the use of expensive electronics to help alert the owner of a failing sump pump. The present disclosure offers an inexpensive solution to extend a time in which an owner can confirm the sump pump has failed or is about to fail. Namely, the present disclosure features a level indicator which retains some water in the event the water rises above a predetermined level.

An extension support member includes a bracket or web having a first planar portion or leg, a second planar portion or leg, an acute angle between the first planar portion or leg and the second planar portion or leg, and a bend or backbone joining the first planar portion or leg to the second planar portion or leg. The extension support member also includes is a first mounting portion or tab joined to the second planar portion or leg via the bend or backbone at a first obtuse angle and a second mounting portion or tab joined to the first planar portion or leg via the bend or backbone at a second obtuse angle. The first mounting portion and the second mounting portion are located at opposite ends of the bracket or web.

Adjustable foundation support system

An extension support member includes a bracket or web having a first planar portion or leg, a second planar portion or leg, an acute, concave angle between the first planar portion or leg and the second planar portion or leg, and a bend or backbone joining the first planar portion or leg to the second planar portion or leg. The extension support member also includes is a first mounting portion or tab joined to the second planar portion or leg via the bend or backbone at a first, convex obtuse angle and a second mounting portion or tab joined to the first planar portion or leg via the bend or backbone at a second obtuse, convex angle. The first mounting portion and the second mounting portion are located at opposite ends of the bracket or web.

An improved system for straightening and/or supporting a wall is provided. The system includes a joist spanner system that may be attached to an elongated vertical member positioned to abut a wall. The joist spanner system may include an inner bracket and an outer bracket in slidable or telescopic communication with one another. The inner bracket and outer bracket may each include a slot or track to provide slidable or telescopic adjustment of the spanner system. The slot or track may also provide an adjustable point for attaching the spanner system to the elongated vertical member. The inner bracket and outer bracket may also each include an end plate configured to be positioned to abut opposing joist members. The end plates may also include one or more apertures configured to receive a fastener for securing the spanner system to opposing joist members.

A concrete tie is provided for joining together adjacent slabs of concrete. The tie includes a flat center portion which sits upon the subgrade, and opposite end portions which are inclined upwardly to extend into the concrete when the concrete is poured. The ties are made of a non-corrosive material to eliminate concrete spalling. The ties are formed as a continuous loop, with curved opposite ends.

An improved a system for straightening and/or supporting a wall is provided. The system includes an elongated vertical member and an elongated horizontal member positioned to abut the wall. The elongated horizontal member has a first end and a second end, the former being positioned adjacent to the elongated vertical member. A cinch plate having at least two plates is provided. One of the plates is connected to the elongated vertical member. A driving member can be movably coupled to the other plates of the cinch plate and configured to force the elongated horizontal member to move relative to the elongated vertical member. Movement of the elongated horizontal member applies a corresponding force to the wall. The elongated horizontal member may not be connected to the elongated vertical member, but rather a compressive force applied between the driving member and the wall can vertically support the elongated horizontal member.

System and method for straightening and/or supporting a wall

The system, method and apparatus for installing a piling generally includes a hollow piling having an inner surface and an outer surface with the piling having a lower end with a friction collar secured about the lower end. The friction collar is manufactured to have an inner surface wherein the inner surface includes portions with various diameters. The friction collar is placed over the lower end of the piling such that the lower end of the piling is aligned with an intermediate portion of the inner surface of the friction collar. A tapered die is pressed into the bottom of the piling to expand the lower end of the piling outwardly such that it extends into the intermediate portion of the friction collar. This secures the friction collar to the end of the piling. Optionally, an end cap may be placed over the piling and/or friction collar.

System, method and apparatus for a piling ring related to a piling ring for end bearing pier

A method and apparatus for supporting and straightening a framed wall includes a plurality of beams, a mounting plate, a bolt, and a pusher. The mounting plate is secured to the beam and the bolt is threadably secured to the mounting plate. The bolt is received by the pusher. When tightened, the bolt applies pressure to the pusher which in turn applies pressure to the framed wall. Alternatively, a plurality of mounting plates and pushers may be used to apply pressure to a cross beam and thereby efficiently apply pressure to a plurality of framed wall beams. By tightening the bolt, the user can apply pressure to the beam and straighten or retain the wall. As the wall shifts during periods of correction, the bolt may be re-tightened to apply additional pressure to the wall.

Method and apparatus to fix wooden and other foundations

A modular egress window well structure which is constructed of structurally identical walls that interlock and attach to the foundation of a building via a termination strip. The identical wall members allow for ease of manufacturing and installation of the egress window well. The method of installation comprises removing soil away from the foundation of a building, securing the termination of strips to the foundation, assembling the egress window well and then backfilling the soil around the structure.

A method and apparatus for supporting and straightening a wall includes two secured brackets, a beam extending between the brackets and the wall, the beam being comparable in length to the walls height. In between the beam and one of the brackets, a holding bracket is placed which includes a retaining ring. A jack extends between the secured bracket and holding bracket and is used to apply pressure to the beam and thereby to the wall. The jack may include a bolt inserted through the secured bracket to contact the holding bracket inside the retaining ring and a nut which is located on the bolt in between the holding bracket and secured bracket. By tightening the bolt, the user can apply pressure to the beam and straighten or retain the wall. As the wall shifts during periods of correction, the bolt may be re-tightened to apply additional pressure to the wall.
