An aerobic resistance garment is particularly designed for warm weather or indoor or high temperature use by including elastic resistance bands and base fabric material wherein the base fabric material is breathable such as by being made from an open mesh or net material. If desired at least a portion of the midriff may be bare.

Aerobic exercise garment

An energy expenditure garment includes various elastic resistance elements located on the garment so as to help in the training of a user while participating in a swinging sport, such as golf or racquet sports. The garment could also include a biofeedback sensor to indicate when a proper swing has or has not been performed.

An energy expenditure garment is made of a variable density fabric having a plurality of zones of differing resistance characteristics. This is accomplished by utilizing threads in the fabric of differing resistance characteristics so that the zones are seamless and blend into each other.

An energy expenditure garment includes at least a portion of the garment made from multilayer construction which has an inner layer of hydrophobic material to direct moisture away from the skin with an intermediate layer of hydrophilic material to store the moisture. An outer layer of non-porous and non-moisture permeable material is provided outwardly of the storage layer to act as a barrier or wall for preventing evaporation of the moisture stored in the intermediate layer. Preferably, a moisture vapor transmission membrane is provided between the hydrophobic inner layer and the hydrophilic storage layer to provide one way flow of the moisture to the storage layer.

A swimwear garment includes an upper body portion and a trunk portion made of a base fabric. At least one resistance band is incorporated in the garment. The resistance band has a direction of strength and memory characteristics to return the band to its unstretched condition. The resistance band has greater resistance characteristics than the base fabric so that during swimming strokes the muscles used for performing the swim strokes are strengthened by the additional exercise resulting from the stretching of the resistance bands.

An energy expenditure garment is made from a base fabric and includes a plurality of elongated elastic resistance elements preferably in the form of elongated elastic resistance elements preferably in the form of bands which extend posteriorly and anteriorly along the arms and extend on the chest and at the back of the wearer in the area of the shoulders. Lateral and medial bands also extend down the legs of the user. The garments are particularly designed for use in skating. Novel wrist band structure is also disclosed.

A bra sport top provides enhanced posture and increased breast support for women engaging in athletic activities. Over-shoulder harnesses encircle each shoulder and serve to urge them back. Cross braces interconnect the two over-shoulder harnesses in a crosswise manner between the shoulder blades. A support belt traveling through a slip sleeve encircles the wearer's torso below the breast and shoulder blades. Interconnecting the over-shoulder harnesses and the slip sleeve are breast-tensioning panels that compress and restrain the breasts so as to prevent any damage to the breast tissue. The left and right breast-tensioning panels may be interconnected by a detachable coupling means or may be connected by elastic bands or the like. Alternative embodiments allow for different directional support of the underlying breast tissue by the breast-tensioning panels.

Energy conservative/expenditure garment

An exercise garment includes an outer layer of clothing which is in the form of a warm up suit or sweatsuit loosely fitting on the user. An inner layer of clothing made of elastic resistance material is secured to the inside of the outer layer of clothing. The inner layer of clothing is anchored at spaced locations so that the user is required to stretch the material of the inner layer during various body movements while the outer layer remains loose fitting.

Exercise garment

An aerobic resistance garment for indoor use or warm weather use, includes a shorts section which has elongated resistance elements and which includes shoulder anchoring structure extending upwardly from the waist area of the shorts section for fitting over the user's shoulders. The legs of the shorts terminate above the calves of the user.

An aerobic exercise garment includes a body section and limb sections. The garment includes a base fabric which incorporates elastic resistance band material having a direction of stretch. The elastic resistance band material is formed with a minimal number of pieces and is incorporated in the garment by securing the pieces together at locations which do not interfere with the direction of resistance.
