Various embodiments disclosed relate to weighted compositions for treatment of a subterranean formation. In various embodiments, the present invention provides a method of treating a subterranean formation. The method can include placing in the subterranean formation a coated weighting agent. The coated weighting agent can include a weighting agent and an inorganic coating material on the weighting agent.

Weighted composition for treatment of a subterranean formation

In some embodiments, a pre-treatment source generates pre-treated oilfield fluid from oilfield fluid, prior to injection into an inverting filter centrifuge system. The pre-treatment source increases an efficiency of separating solids from the injected oilfield fluid. An inverting filter centrifuge coupled to the pre-treatment source generates filtered oilfield fluid from the pre-treated oilfield fluid. Post-treatment may be applied to the filtered oilfield fluid. Systems and methods for separation of oleaginous fluids, aqueous fluids, and solids from drilling or other oilfield emulsions by solvent extraction. A method for separation of oilfield emulsions comprising: providing an oilfield emulsion prepared for use in a wellbore and/or recovered from a wellbore; mixing the oilfield emulsion with at least a solvent to form at least a mixture; and separating the mixture to at least partially recover an oleaginous phase of the oilfield emulsion.

Methods and compositions for the use of treatment fluids comprising metalate-based additives to treat subterranean formations are provided. In one embodiment, the methods comprise providing a treatment fluid comprising a non-aqueous base fluid and at least one metalate-based additive comprising: an anion selected from the group consisting of: a tungstate, a molybdate, a vanadate, a manganate, and any combination thereof, and an organic cation; and introducing the treatment fluid into a wellbore penetrating at least a portion of a subterranean formation.

Methods and processes for recycling base oils from spent invert emulsion drilling fluids may include frictionally heating a spent drilling fluid that comprises an invert emulsion and solids, wherein the solids are at about 50% or less by volume of the spent drilling fluid; and simultaneously evaporating oil and water from the invert emulsion at a temperature lower than an atmospheric boiling point for the oil.

Methods and processes to recycle base oil fluids from spent invert emulsion drilling fluids

Disclosed is an apparatus and method for shearing well drilling fluid mixtures containing an emulsifier, and utilizing pumping the fluids through a plurality of nozzles, reducing the size of the fluid droplets as they pass through the nozzles, discharging the fluid droplets into a output chamber where the emulsifier surrounds the smaller droplets with the nozzle discharges aligned to intersect in the stabilization chamber.
