An apparatus for sensing indicators is disclosed herein. An example of the apparatus includes a roller over which a media passes, the roller including a first end that is dark in color and a second end that is light in color. The example of the apparatus also includes a sensor that is moveable between a first position over the first end of the roller and a second position over the second end of the roller. The sensor detects a first indicator on the media in the first position and a second indicator on the media in the second position. An example of a printing device is also disclosed herein. Modifications to and other examples of the apparatus for sensing and printing device are further disclosed herein.

Apparatus for sensing indicators

A system and method for self cleaning an air idler are provided. An air idler non-contactingly guides printable media using a flow of fluid through a porous surface portion. Rotation of the air idler results in rubbing contact with one or more wipers, during which debris is removed from the porous surface portion. A cleaning solution is used to remove ink and/or paper residue from the porous surface portion. The cleaning solution can wet one or more of the wipers. The cleaning solution can circulate through a reservoir disposed in contact with a portion of the air idler.

A method for determining whether to activate an illumination source includes directing an air current across at least a portion of the illumination source and across at least a portion of a temperature sensor. The method also includes sensing the temperature of the air current with the temperature sensor and determining whether to activate the illumination source based on the temperature of the air current.

A embodiment of a stand includes a base, a support, and a biasing member. The biasing member provides a biasing force to urge the support to a first position relative to the base from a second position relative to the base. When in the second position the support is allowed to rotate on a pivot, and when in the first position the support is prevented from rotating on the pivot.

A peristaltic pump includes occluding surfaces rotatably supported by a support, an occlusion having an occlusion surface and a drive system configured to rotate occluding surfaces about a common axis. At least one of the support and the occlusion is movable towards the other of the support and the occlusion. The drive system is coupled to at least one of the support and the occlusion so as to move at least one of the support and the first occlusion.

An adjustable support for a multimedia display device includes a base, a ring rotatably coupled with the base, and a foot mated with the ring and coupled with the base. The ring includes a plurality of ramp surfaces, and the foot includes a plurality of engaging surfaces. The plurality of ramp surfaces are separate from each other and distributed at substantially equal intervals along a common circumference, and each of the engaging surfaces interacts with a respective one of the ramp surfaces, wherein rotation of the ring relative to the base causes each of the engaging surfaces to slide along the respective one of the ramp surfaces to vary a distance the foot extends from the base.

Adjustable support for multimedia display device

An adjustable support for a multimedia display device includes a base and a foot rotatably coupled with the base. The base includes a plurality of ramp surfaces, and the foot includes a plurality of engaging surfaces. The plurality of ramp surfaces are separate from each other and distributed at substantially equal intervals along a common circumference, and each of the engaging surfaces interacts with a respective one of the ramp surfaces, wherein rotation of the foot relative to the base causes each of the engaging surfaces to slide along the respective one of the ramp surfaces to vary a distance the foot extends from the base.
