Disclosed are various embodiments for automated service interface optimization. In one embodiment, usage metrics are determined for a service client corresponding to usage of a set of data items within a data object. An optimized data object is provided to the service client in response to a request from the service client for the data object. The optimized data object includes empty values in place of one or more data items in the set of data items. The data item(s) are determined based at least in part on the usage metrics.

Network page latency reduction is facilitated by various embodiments. In one embodiment, a first distribution corresponding to a plurality of instances of a network page is estimated. A second distribution corresponding to a subset of the instances is also estimated. The network page is adapted based at least in part on a comparison of the first and second distributions in order to reduce network page latency.

Each host computing device includes a local targeted script management component that interfaces with a centralized or master targeted script management component. The local targeted script management component obtains targeted scripts, causes the execution of the targeted script and can terminate the targeted script. Additionally, the local targeted script management component can collect information associated with the execution of the targeted scripts and initiate the restoration of previous state in the event that the execution of the targeted script modifies or otherwise affects the host computing device.

In one embodiment, among others, a system comprises a processor circuit and a memory associated with the processor circuit. The system further comprises a distribution estimator configured to estimate a distribution corresponding to latency data regarding a plurality of instances of a network page. The system further comprises an attribute comparator configured to identify an attribute associated with a subset of the instances of a network page. The subset of the instances corresponds to a latency data substantially represented by a tail of the distribution. Additionally, the system comprises a recommendation generator configured to generate a modification recommendation for the subset of the instances of the network page.

A plurality of usage metrics for at least one service client corresponding to a set of data items within a data object are determined in at least one computing device. The data object is obtainable by at least one service client from a service provider. The service provider is configured to provide an optimized data object to the at least one service client. The optimized data object includes a proper subset of the set of data items. The proper subset is determined based at least in part on the usage metrics.

Disclosed are various embodiments of modeling hardware usage in a computing system. Usage factors affecting hardware usage of the computing system are identified. Usage factor data over a time period that corresponds to the usage factors is extracted. A regression analysis is performed on the historical usage factor data that determines a hardware usage function characterizing a relationship between the usage factors and historical hardware usage data.
