A system can include one or more processors; memory; a data interface that receives data; a control interface that transmits control signals for control of pumps of a hydraulic fracturing operation; and one or more components that can include one or more of a modeling component that predicts pressure in a well fluidly coupled to at least one of the pumps, a pumping rate adjustment component that generates a pumping rate control signal for transmission via the control interface, a capacity component that estimates a real-time pumping capacity for each individual pump, and a control component that, for a target pumping rate for the pumps during the hydraulic fracturing operation, generates at least one of engine throttle and transmission gear settings for each of the individual pumps using an estimated real-time pumping capacity for each individual pump where the settings are transmissible via the control interface.

Fracturing operations controller

An electrical stability testing device includes a cup configured to receive a fluid sample. The testing device also includes a pair of electrodes positioned at least partially within the cup. The electrodes are spaced apart from one another by a predetermined gap. The electrodes are configured to have the fluid sample positioned within the predetermined gap while performing an ES test on the fluid sample in the cup. The testing device also includes a wiper positioned at least partially within the cup. The wiper is configured to pass between the electrodes after the ES test has concluded. A width of the wiper is greater than the predetermined gap between the electrodes. The wiper is configured to deform as the wiper passes through the predetermined gap such that the width becomes substantially equal to the predetermined gap and sides of the wiper contact ends of the electrodes to clean the electrodes.

System and method for cleaning electrical stability probe

A method for treating a subterranean formation penetrated by a wellbore, comprising: providing a treatment slurry comprising a carrying fluid, a solid particulate and an agglomerant; injecting the treatment slurry into a fracture to form a substantially uniformly distributed mixture of the solid particulate and the agglomerant; and transforming the substantially uniform mixture into areas that are rich in solid particulate and areas that are substantially free of solid particulate, wherein the solid particulate and the agglomerant have substantially dissimilar velocities in the fracture and wherein said transforming results from said substantially dissimilar velocities is provided.

Compositions and methods for increasing fracture conductivity

The disclosure pertains to methods for completing a well may comprise lowering a coiled-tubing in the well thus forming an annulus between the casing and the coiled-tubing, pumping down said annulus a treatment fluid above the fracturing pressure of the formation while also pumping fluid through the coiled tubing. The methods may also comprise monitoring in real-time the bottom hole pressure and increasing the pump rate through the coiled-tubing if an increase of bottom hole pressure is observed.

The well treatment fluid can include extrametrical materials to provide reinforcement and consolidation of the proppant and, additionally or alternatively, to inhibit settling of the proppant in the treatment fluid.

Heterogeneous proppant placement in a fracture with removable extrametrical material fill

A method of injecting well treatment fluid including proppant and proppant-spacing filler material through a wellbore into the fracture, heterogeneously placing the proppant in the fracture in a plurality of proppant clusters or islands spaced apart by the material, and removing the filler material to form open channels around the pillars for fluid flow from the formation through the fracture toward the wellbore. A system includes a regional blending facility having a number of bulk receiving facilities, where each bulk facility receives and stores a particle type having a distinct size modality, a bulk moving device that transfers particles between the bulk receiving facilities and of a blending/continuously receiving vessel and/or a mixer, and a carrying medium vessel. The mixer receives particles from the blending/continuously receiving vessel and/or the bulk moving device, receives a carrying medium from the carrying medium vessel, mixes the particles with the carrying medium, and provides a mixed treatment fluid. The system includes a fluid conduit that fluidly couples a wellsite location with the regional blending facility, where the fluid conduit delivers the mixed treatment fluid to the wellsite and/or delivers produced fluid from a wellbore positioned at the wellsite to the regional blending facility.

A method that is usable with a well includes introducing solids into a pneumatic stream to produce a solids-containing pneumatic stream; communicating the solids-containing pneumatic stream to a blender assembly to mix the solids with at least one other material to produce a flow; and pumping the flow into the well.

Solids delivery apparatus and method for a well

A technique enables improvements in hydraulic fracturing treatments on heterogeneous reservoirs. Based on data obtained for a given reservoir, a fracturing treatment material is used to create complex fractures, which, while interacting with the interfaces and planes of weakness in the reservoir, develop fracture connectors, e.g. step-overs, which often grow for short distances along these planes of weakness. The technique further comprises closing or sealing at least one of the fracture connectors to enable reinitiation of fracturing from the truncated branches, and to subsequently develop additional connectors. As a result, the overall fracturing becomes more complex (more branches and more surface area per unit reservoir volume is created), which leads to an increase in the effective fracture area and improved fluid flow through the reservoir.

A method of heterogeneous proppant placement in a subterranean fracture is disclosed. The method comprises injecting a first treatment fluid comprising a gas and substantially free of macroscopic particles through a wellbore to initiate a fracture in a subterranean formation; injecting a second treatment fluid comprising proppant and channelant through the wellbore into the fracture; placing the proppant in the fracture in a plurality of proppant clusters forming pillars spaced apart by the channelant; and removing the channelant to form open channels around the pillars for fluid flow from the subterranean formation through the fracture toward the wellbore.
