A method and apparatus for monitoring fluid flow in a pipe or at an exit of the pipe and detecting a fault. The system includes an acoustic generator which is activated by the fluid flowing in the pipe or at the exit of the pipe. The acoustic generator sends an acoustic signal, which may have a distinctive signature, through the fluid flowing in the pipe. The acoustic signal is received by a remote upstream acoustic receiver and is translated into an electric signal supplied to a signal processor.

A golf club ( ) has a head ( ) with a curved reflective surface ( ) for visually aligning a shot. The club head is counterbalanced above the plane of the ball ( ) and has balance weights ( ) which may be selected to accommodate the style and preference of the user. The striking surface may be of a different material than the surrounding club head to dampen vibration on the stroke and may be of a material tailored to the user's preference. The other parts of the club may also be composites of several materials to assist in dampening vibration. An alternative aligning structure uses lenticular lens ( ) to provide guiding images to the user.

A light bar for mounting on an emergency vehicle to provide warning light signals. An elongate body portion has an elongate axis, the elongate body portion adapted to be mounted on the emergency vehicle so that the elongate axis traverses an axis coaxial with the direction of the travel of the emergency vehicle. At least three vertically spaced lighting layers are provided, each layer having at least one emergency light source, the emergency light sources on each layer cooperating to provide a transient high intensity warning light signal 360.degree. around the light bar. At least four linear rows of emergency light sources as viewed from the top of the light bar are also provided, the rows being substantially parallel to the elongate axis, each row having at least two emergency light sources, at least one row located in each of the layers and at least one layer having at least two rows, the emergency light sources in each row cooperate to provide a transient high intensity warning signal 360.degree. around the light bar. Each end of the body has projecting extensions which have a recess for accommodating mounting hardware. A spot light or other device may be nested in the bar. The fixtures may be stacked and may be positioned off center when the vehicle is in a fend off position. The fixtures may also be aimed to cross over each other or operate in response to vehicle speed.

Spot light

An emergency vehicle signal light adapted to be mounted on an emergency vehicle. A light source emits visible light for illuminating a reflector. A light pipe having one end associated with the light source has its second end associated with a diverter for diverting substantially all light transmitted by the light pipe toward the reflector. The reflector is adapted to reflect the diverted light transmitted by the light pipe for observance by an observer remote from the emergency vehicle. A motion driver may be provided for rotating or oscillating the reflector about the diverter. As a result, an observer is adapted to observe discrete flashes of light resulting from flashing, rotation or oscillation, each flash corresponding to diverted reflected light forming a beam. For oscillating or rotating modules, the beam traverses across the position of the observer in response to the rotational or oscillatory motion. Alternatively, such modules may be used as part of a light bar. Alternatively, the modules may be stationary flashing modules which are flush mounted on the perimeter of an emergency vehicle.

A light reflector assembly, for use with a light bar of standard construction, includes a reflector body having a front reflective surface, a back, and first and second opposite ends. A lamp is mounted on the reflector body forward of the reflective surface. The front reflective surface is concave with respect to an axis disposed forward of the reflective surface and extending in end-to-end direction relative to the reflector body. The reflective surface reflects light emitted by the lamp in a generally forward direction. The light reflector assembly further includes an end piece at the first end of the reflector body. The end piece has a concave reflective surface facing generally toward the second end of the body.
