A burner has a dual use pot whereby the pot can be machined to provide for single flow control to inner and outer flame rings (directly related to each other) as a single flow configuration or maintained in a dual flow configuration whereby a user can separately control flow to inner and outer flame rings (independently related to one another). A lateral passage is fed from an inlet to feed outer flames while a transverse passage possibly elevationally displaced from the transverse passage for some embodiments can feed the inner ring. The lateral and transverse passages are joined to be in fluid communication through the method taught herein.

Method of converting a burner with a dual use pot to single flow

An electronic modulating oven valve provides advantages over prior art designs. Additionally, for at least some embodiments, a dual passage valve operating in a modulating manner has been found to be desirable for oven and possibly other applications.

A horizontal venturi burner has at least one burner ring, if not several, supplied by respective ports which supply air/fuel mixture thereto. The ports are directed at orifice holders which are received in receivers preferably formed in cast top and bottom pots. The receivers may have openings on either side which allow single direction installation of the holders and preferably prevent rotation by having adjacent and cooperating flats/faces therein, as well as openings which properly position the holders in a desired axial arrangement.

Horizontal venturi burner construction

A burner head and cap combination provides gas burner for use with gas appliances. At least one magnet is utilized to assist in retaining the burner cap to the burner head. Mobile appliances can particularly benefit from such a construction, such as in recreational vehicles and even stationary uses may find such a construction advantageous.

A connection is provided whereby a first tube, which may be bent into an elbow, has at least one end flow drilled. During the flow drilling process the first end is shortened, reduced in thickness, and most importantly, the inner diameter is increased to accept a second tube. Before connecting the second tube, the first end is preferably tapped with threads which can receive a nut and the nut captures an end of the second tube, preferably entrapping one of at least one bead and a ferrel to provide a connection.

A dual valve construction partners first and second valve portions with a mechanical linkage such as gears to operably couple the control stems together. The gears need not be identical and in fact a first gear may have flats so that motion of the first gear need not always move the second gear proportionally. Furthermore, the gears may have differing gear ratios at different portion of the gears.

A semi-flexible tube is captured between a valve body and a connection device wherein at least one of the valve body and the connection device is connected structurally to a range instead of relying on the manifold tube as the location mechanism for precisely locating the valve at a desired location on the range.
