Artificial-intelligence computer-implemented processes and machines predict whether personal data may be present in structured software based on metadata field(s) contained therein. Natural language processing preprocesses input strings corresponding to the metadata field(s) into normalized input sequence(s). Individual characters in the sequence(s) are embedded into fixed-dimension vectors of real numbers. Bidirectional LSTM(s) or other machine-learning algorithm(s) are utilized to generate forward and backward contextualization(s). Neural network output(s) are provided based on element-wise averaging or feed forwarding based on the contextualization(s) in order to predict whether one or more value fields corresponding to the metadata field(s) may contain personal data.

Personal data discovery

A system that includes a tagging engine and a routing engine. The tagging engine is configured to link a data element with an access control tag. The tagging engine is configured to apply context rules to the access control tag array based on the content of the data element to change the access control tag value for one or more of the access control tags. The tagging engine sends the data element with the access control tag array to a target network node within an end user group. The routing engine is configured to identify an access control tag value in the access control tag array corresponding with the end user group and to forward the data element to the target network node in response to determining that the access control value is greater than or equal to the access control level associated with the end user group.

Access control value systems

A system provides a way to scan protected electronic data via database schema collection. In particular, the system may comprise a database schema collection application which may aggregate physical database schema from all of the databases within the network environment. The system may further comprise a protected data scan application which may receive scan results from the database schema collection (e.g., by scanning metadata) and subsequently output the scan results to other applications and/or repositories. The protected data scan application may further report changes in database schema to account for new values and/or categories existing within the various databases.

The system is configured for receiving data from one or more source systems, generating a metadata, exposure, and control statement for the data, transferring the data and the metadata, exposure, and control statement to a system of origination, logically classifying the data in the system of record into one or more domains, transferring the data into one or more authorized data sources associated with the one or more domains, receiving a request from a user associated with a target system to retrieve a set of data from the one or more authorized data sources, and transferring the set of data from the one or more authorized data sources to the target system.
