A guitar arm rest adapted for mounting on a side of a guitar for holding a guitar player's arm in a proper position on the guitar. The guitar arm rest includes an arm rest cup received next to an edge of the side of the guitar. A front of the arm rest cup is adapted for receiving the guitar player's arm thereon. A base plate is hinged to a back of the arm rest cup. The base plate includes one or more suction cups for securing the guitar rest on the side of the guitar. One end of a height adjustment pivot plate is hinged on the base plate. An opposite end of the pivot plate is received in a selected hole in a hole track plate. The hole track plate is attached to a rear of the arm rest cup. The pivot plate is used to adjust the height/angle of the arm rest cup above the side of the guitar.

Guitar arm rest

A combination guitar arm rest and leg rest for attachment to a portion of a body of a guitar and holding the guitar away from a guitar player's arm or elbow and above the player's leg. The combination includes an arm rest pad and a leg rest pad. The arm rest pad and the leg rest pad are pivotally attached to a tang. The tang is pivotally mounted on a yoke. The yoke is pivotally attached to one end of a pair of struts. An opposite end of the struts is pivotally mounted on a suction cup pivot pin. Opposite ends of the pivot pin are attached to a pair of suction cups. The suction cups are adapted for releasable attachment to the body of the guitar. The tang, the yoke and the struts allow the arm rest pad and the leg rest pad to be pivoted in an 'XY' vertical plane, a 'YZ' vertical plane and a &#x201c;XZ&#x201d; horizontal plane for infinite adjustments by the guitar player.

Combination guitar arm rest and leg rest for improved guitar sound resonance

A manifold assembly and method of making the same is disclosed. The manifold assembly is preferably made of a polymer. A mold is used to make the manifold portion of the manifold assembly such that small diameter passageways and valve seats are formed enabling use of small solenoids. Since pressure is applied to small diameter plunger seals (valves) driven by solenoid plungers, small solenoids may be used because the force on the solenoid plungers is correspondingly low. The manifold assembly is comprised of a manifold portion and a plug portion. The manifold portion, as disclosed, has an inlet port for the supply of air pressure. An inlet housing in which an inlet solenoid is housed, a supply port for supplying air to or exhausting air from a reservoir, and an exhaust housing in which an exhaust solenoid is housed are connected to a chamber. The chamber which interconnects the housings and supply port is enclosed by the plug portion which is ultrasonically welded to the manifold portion.

Manifold and method of making same

A solenoid valve is mounted in the bore of a ferromagnetic journal. Mounting the solenoid valve in the journal conserves space on the firewall of a vehicle where the solenoid is typically located. Journal mounting also minimizes the length of the air line necessary to supply air to the solenoid valve. Use of a ferromagnetic journal as part of the magnetic circuit allows full use of the journal bore for the components of the solenoid valve. A leak vent path is provided as well as a principal vent path in the flux flanges of the solenoid valve. The solenoid valve controls the flow of air through a seal which engages a rotating coupling of a clutch which operates a fan.

Journal mounted solenoid valve

A guitar fulcrum used for releasable attachment to a body of a guitar and holding the guitar above a guitar player's leg when the player is in a seated position. The guitar fulcrum allows for adjusting and moving the guitar, as in a gimbal, prior to playing or during the playing of the guitar. The guitar fulcrum includes a curved leg pad with soft cushion material adapted for receipt on a top portion or a side portion of the player's leg. A leg pad tang is rotatably mounted 360 degrees on top of the leg pad. The tang allows the guitar to be rotated in a horizontal &ldquo;XZ&rdquo; plane to the player's left or right. A yoke, with a yoke pivot pin, is pivotally mounted on the tang. The yoke allows the guitar to be rotated in vertical &ldquo;YZ&rdquo; plane toward or away from the player's body. One end of a pair of height adjustment struts, using strut pivot pins, is pivotally mounted on the yoke. An opposite end of the struts is attached to a suction cup pivot pin. The suction cup pivot pin is attached to at least one or more suction cups. The suction cups are used for releasable attachment to a portion of the guitar body. The struts allow the guitar to be raised and lowered in a &ldquo;XY&rdquo; vertical plane above the musician's leg. The fulcrum with leg pad provides for improved acoustics by eliminating direct engagement of the guitar body against the leg.

Guitar fulcrum

A solenoid valve is disclosed which includes a solenoid assembly, an axial flow chamber and inlet and outlet housings secured to the axial flow chamber. The axial flow chamber comprises a generally cylindrically shaped inner portion and a cylindrically shaped outer portion spaced radially apart from the inner portion and connected to the inner portion by a web forming at least one passageway through the axial flow chamber. The solenoid assembly resides generally within the inner portion of the axial flow chamber and is further restrained by the inlet housing. The inlet and outlet housings are secured to the axial flow chamber.

Axial flow solenoid valve

A power circuit for controlling the amount of power delivered to a solenoid coil is disclosed. A current mode pulse width modulation controller is employed to interrupt the flow of current through a power branch of the circuit. A rectifying bridge enables use of the power circuit with either AC or DC power sources. The power circuit includes a startup current source for initially energizing the pulse width modulation controller. Two feedback voltages, one representing the compensated current through the power branch of the circuit and one representing the output voltage of the power circuit are used by the pulse width modulation controller to output pulses of varying duration at constant frequency to a field effect transistor. The opening of the field effect transistor interrupts the flow of current in the power branch of the circuit.

Power circuit for low power solenoid operation using an AC or DC supply

A solenoid valve employing a coil can cover and a top cover residing between the bobbin, the stop and the plunger is disclosed. The coil can cover and top cover perform efficiently resulting in less saturation and hysterisis. Low power operation is achieved. A plug valve and seal arrangement are provided in one end of the plunger to operate in conjunction with a square edged orifice formed at the exit of the body. A linear flow characteristic is achieved over mid range throttle positions which facilitate the flow control of natural gas, and propane and other such fuels at low pressures.

Low power solenoid proportional valve

A solenoid valve including a body, plunger, stop, bobbin, coil, and strap is disclosed. One embodiment is a normally open solenoid valve and one embodiment is a normally closed solenoid valve. The bobbin, coil and strap are encapsulated by a glass-filled nylon cover. The strap and the glass-filled nylon restrain the stop. A body is ultrasonically welded to the glass-filled nylon cover. In the normally open embodiment a first body has a single port. In the normally closed embodiment a second body has two ports. The plunger includes grooves and sections of reduced diameter, or channels, which allow for communication between the stop and the body. A method for making the solenoid valve is also disclosed and claimed.

Overmolded solenoid valve

A guitar fulcrum is described herein which is used as an elbow rest for the elbow of a right or a left arm of a guitar player when playing a guitar. A standard guitar is designed for a person having an average height of 5 feet 10 inches. The fulcrum is designed for guitar players having a height greater than 5 feet 10 inches and/or with longer forearms and longer hands than people of this height. The guitar fulcrum allows for the proper placement of the player's fingers on the guitar strings adjacent a sweet spot above the sound hole of the guitar. Also, the guitar fulcrum positions the wrist lower than the elbow in a passive position. The passive position of the wrist relieves muscular tension produced in the forearm when having to hold up the hand in an active position. The guitar fulcrum includes an ergonomically designed elbow pad adapted for comfortably engaging a portion of the user's elbow. The elbow pad is pivotly mounted on upper ends of a pair of adjustable struts. The struts are used to adjust the height of the elbow pad above a hip of the body of the guitar. Lower ends of the two struts are attached to either suction cups or clamps used to secure the guitar fulcrum to the side of the guitar body. The fulcrum may also include an adjustment plate attached to the underside of the elbow pad and the upper ends of the strut. The adjustment plate allows for adjustment of the elbow pad on the guitar.

An automatic backwashing strainer system is provided for cleaning a strainer with a minimum amount of backwash water. The system includes a long time mode and a short time mode of operation in which the backwashing operation is conducted periodically with a variable duration and a variable cycle time. The system also includes a differential pressure mode of operation in which the backwashing is conducted whenever the pressure drop across the strainer exceeds a predetermined upper limit and continues for a variable time delay after the pressure drop reaches a predetermined lower limit. The particular durations, cycle times, time delays, and modes utilized to control the backwashing are selected in response to the operating conditions of the strainer system.
