A system for converting a stationary chair into a rocking chair. The chair includes legs that include a horizontal leg portion located near the floor. The system includes a pair of rocking assemblies that each can be mounted to one of a pair of horizontal leg portions of the chair. The rocking assemblies each include a pair of rocker brackets that can be connected to each other and entrap the horizontal leg portion between the pair of rocker brackets. Each of the rocker brackets includes a rocker surface that has an arcuate shape and extends between a front end and a back end with a fulcrum point between the front and back ends. The fulcrum point contacts the floor and the rocker brackets allow the chair to rock along the rocker surfaces. The pair of rocker brackets can be selectively installed upon and removed from the chair legs.

A table leg assembly for supporting a table top. The table leg assembly includes a leg member having a lower end that defines an open interior. A tube end insert is received within the open interior at the lower end of each of the leg members. A threaded internal opening of the tube end insert receives an attachment rod of either a caster wheel assembly or a glide assembly. The glide assembly includes a glide member having a support foot mounted to the threaded attachment rod. A spacer is positioned along the attachment rod between the lower end of the leg member and the support foot. The spacer is movable along the attachment rod to cover the threaded attachment rod and lock the glide member in position. The attachment rod of the caster wheel assembly is received within the tube end insert to mount the caster wheel assembly to the leg member.

A classroom chair includes a seat and a backrest, where the chair facilitates a wide variety of uses by an occupant. The backrest includes a center section and a pair of armrest sections that extend from the center section. The pair of armrest sections and center section each include a utility surface located in a plane parallel to a seating plane. Each of the armrest sections includes a lower edge positioned above the lowermost portion of the center section, which allows the occupant's legs to be located beneath the armrest sections. In one embodiment, the classroom chair includes a base having four legs. In another embodiment, the base includes two legs joined to a support frame have four stub legs. At least one of the legs extends rearward past the backrest such that the base provides required support for the occupant when the occupant's weight is supported by the backrest.

A chair includes a frame having a plurality of legs, a seat coupled to the frame that includes a seating surface and opposing side edges, and at least one ganging arm. The ganging arm is configured to pivot about a pivot axis into and between an operative position in which the ganging arm extends laterally from one of the opposing side edges and a storage position in which the ganging arm is beneath the seat. In one embodiment, the chair includes a pair of ganging arm, where a first ganging arm includes a male ganging end and the second ganging arm includes a female ganging end. Each of the ganging arms is mounted for rotation about a mounting device attached to the frame of the chair.

A chair including a writing tablet that can be used with both a right handed and a left handed seat occupant. The chair includes a writing tablet that is supported on a tablet arm. The tablet arm is pivotable beneath the seating element of the chair such that the tablet arm can be positioned on either the right side or left side of the user. The writing tablet is pivotally mounted to the tablet arm such that the writing tablet can pivot toward and away from the seat occupant. The writing tablet is further movably mounted to the tablet arm such that the writing tablet can move toward and away from the seat occupant. The seating element of the chair is pivotably mounted to a support structure including chair legs and preferably caster wheels.

A mobile furniture and accessory system for an office environment includes storage components, table or desk components, screen or partition components, paper management components, marker board components, computer support furniture and the like, for use in facilitating flexibility in manufacturing such components to user specifications and in arranging such components according to user requirements.

A molded chair shell includes a seat portion and a back portion joined at a junction area. A support or reinforcement member is located at the junction area and is formed integrally with the seat portion and the back portion. The reinforcement member includes an internal cavity between the seat portion and the back portion that is substantially positioned over the junction area. The cavity is formed by cavity walls, which may form ribs that extend forwardly along the seat portion and upwardly the back portion of the chair shell. The chair shell may be formed in an injection molding process, and the internal cavity may be formed in a gas assist operation carried out during the injection molding process.

A space dividing system includes a column and a series of partition panels adapted for interconnection with the column. The column includes an internal passage, and is adapted to receive wiring from a building for supplying power to a receptacle arrangement interconnected with the column. Adjacent panels are connected to the column at spaced locations, and the receptacle arrangement is exposed between the adjacent panels. The column includes a structural skeleton to which the receptacle arrangement is mounted, and a series of covers are releasably engaged with the structural skeleton for finishing the aesthetic appearance of the column. An adjustable height mounting arrangement is interconnected with the upper end of the column for connection to a ceiling to stabilize the upper end of the column. Each panel is in the form of a frame defining an opening within which a core is received. Cover members are releasably engageable with the frame members, and overlie the core so as to releasably maintain the core in position within the opening. End caps are mounted to upper and lower ends of the side frame members, and are utilized to mount various connectors to the panels for interconnecting the panels together and for providing stacking of panels on top of each other.

A folding table or desk includes a table top, a pair of spaced apart legs, and a wire management structure pivotably mounted to the table top and located between the legs. The wire management structure includes a front panel assembly having an opening, and an access member is pivotably mounted to the front panel assembly for movement between an open position, a closed position and a collapsed position. The front panel assembly can be folded against the underside of the table top and the access member can be pivoted to its collapsed position relative to the front panel assembly, and the legs are foldable over the wire management structure to provide a compact envelope for the folded components of the table assembly. The front panel assembly includes a cross brace member which is engageable with the legs when the wire management structure is in its operative extended position, to impart rigidity to the table assembly. Wires or cables are fed through openings in the table top into an internal cavity defined by the wire management structure, for engagement with power or communication receptacles located within the internal cavity. Equipment may also be supported by the underside of the table top, and wires or cables from such equipment can be fed through the opening in the front panel assembly into the internal cavity of the wire management structure. A latch arrangement is carried by the table assembly for enabling adjacent table assemblies to be ganged together.
