A method for purifying air within a space is provided. The method includes a controller determining whether an ON signal is received. Upon determining that the ON signal is received, the controller instructs an air sanitizer of an air sanitization system to turn ON to purify an airflow passing through the air sanitization system, and instructs an air movement fan/blower to operate in order to direct the airflow into the space. Upon determining that the ON signal is not received, the controller instructs the air movement fan/blower and the air sanitizer to be OFF.

Also, the method includes changing the operational mode of the heat exchanger unit; and removing the load control action.

The method includes a MTRS controller determining whether a first zone environmental condition difference between a first zone measured environmental condition and a first zone desired set point environmental condition is greater than a first threshold. The method also includes the MTRS controller coordinating operation of the first environmental condition unit and the second environmental condition unit when the first zone environmental condition difference is determined to be greater than the first threshold.

Methods and systems for coordinated zone operation of a multi-zone transport refrigeration system

An environmentally controlled shipping container including a storage space, a first environmentally controlled space within the storage space, a second environmentally controlled space within the storage space, and a transport refrigeration unit. The transport refrigeration unit including a compressor that provides a flow of refrigerant, a condenser that receives the flow of refrigerant from the compressor, a first evaporator positioned within the first environmentally controlled space and in fluid communication with the condenser, a second evaporator positioned within the second environmentally controlled space and in fluid communication with the condenser, and a pressure regulator associated with the first evaporator. The pressure regulator selectively restricts the flow of refrigerant from the first evaporator to the compressor such that the flow of refrigerant from the first evaporator to the compressor is substantially equal to the flow of refrigerant from the second evaporator to the compressor.
