A cement admixture composed of a low molecular weight oxyalkylene compound and a comb polymer having carboxylic acid groups and oxyalkylene units therein.

Drying shrinkage cement admixture

An exemplary waterproofing membrane comprises a carrier layer having a non-bituminous pressure-sensitive waterproofing adhesive, a protective layer coated on the non-bituminous adhesive, and a second waterproofing adhesive layer on the other face of the carrier to permit adherence of the membrane to a cementious surface and to permit concrete to be cast against the non-bituminous layer and protective coating and to be bonded thereto when cured. Further exemplary membranes comprise a dusted layer on the protective coating to permit foot traffic. The membranes of the invention are useful in so-called horizontal and vertical lagging installations. Methods for waterproofing between cementious surfaces, in tunnels, and on concrete decks are also disclosed.

Waterproofing membrane

A Structure comprising a membrane of a waterproofing pressure sensitive adhesive material with, contiguous thereto, a layer of relatively rigid covering material so arranged and divided into segments that the structure can be folded at the divisions between the segments.

Foldable waterproofing structure

Novel polyurethane formulations especially useful as membranes for the protection of bridge deckings. The polyurethane is prepared by mixing two components, A and B. Component A comprises castor oil, a low molecular weight polyol having a molecular wieght between 92 and about 200, preferably with an elastomer. Component B is a modified MDI, being either (i) a mix of 4,4'- and 2,4'-isomers of diphenylmethane diisocyanate or (ii) a diphenylmethane diisocyanate and its reaction product with a low molecular weight poly(oxyalkylene).
