TPLO plate includes first and second distal holes and a body with a proximal portion positioned over a proximal tibia segment and a distal portion extending along a longitudinal axis and positioned over a distal tibia segment. The first hole includes an elongated portion extending along the longitudinal axis and an offset portion extending distally from the elongated portion along an offset axis at an angle relative to the longitudinal axis. The second hole extends through the distal portion along the longitudinal axis in alignment with the elongated portion and includes a sloped compression surface along a distal portion. The first hole is such that, when a distal compression to osteotomy cut is applied via insertion of a bone fixation element into the distal portion, the element translates along the offset axis from a central axis to an intersection point to provide a cranial compression to the cut.

An improved tibial plateau leveling osteotomy plate is contoured in its proximal head portion to more closely resemble the structure of the tibial bone segment that is cut and rotated during the procedure. The plate also preferably has screw holes in the proximal head portion that are machined through the pre-contoured proximal head portion and are designed to angle the screw in a targeted screw path with respect to the osteotomy.

Tibial plateau leveling osteotomy plate

TPLO plate includes a body having a proximal portion positioned over a cut and repositioned proximal segment of a tibia during a procedure and a distal portion positioned over a distal segment of the tibia during the procedure and a first distal hole extending through a proximal end of the distal portion from the first surface to the second surface. The first hole is configured so that the body is rotatable about a fixation element seated therein in combination with a second distal hole extending through the distal portion distally of the first hole. The second hole includes a compression surface along a caudal side thereof, so that a head portion of a fixation element is slid therealong during insertion into the second hole and the distal end is moved caudally relative to the fixation element and the body is rotated about the fixation element in the first hole relative to the recess of the first hole, cranially compressing the proximal segment against the distal segment.

A tibial tuberosity advancement (TTA) system is configured to maintaining a tuberosity in an advanced position relative to a tibial body. The TTA system includes an implant, a spacer, and a spacer fixation member.

An improved tibial plateau leveling osteotomy plate is disclosed. A bone plate is configured for pancarpal arthrodesis. The bone plate can include a plurality of apertures that can be aligned with the metacarpal bones. The apertures can include a first portion and second portion that is longitudinally and laterally offset with respect to the first portion.

An apparatus for locating a curvilinear cut in a bone comprises a jig body and a first arm, a top end of which is rotatably coupleable to a first portion of the jig body in combination with a second arm, a top end of which is rotatably coupleable to a second portion of the jig body separated from the first portion and a saw guide rotatably coupleable to the first arm, the saw guide including a bottom surface extending along a curve corresponding to a desired path through which a bone is to be cut, the saw guide including a locking feature receiving a bone fixation element which, in an operative configuration, is mounted in the bone to align the saw guide relative to the arm so that an operator may precisely align a desired axis of the saw guide with a longitudinal axis of the first arm.

Jig and saw guides for use in osteotomies

An external fixation system for connecting one or more bone segments together to facilitate healing of bone. The system may include one or more rings and/or ring segments. One or more linear distractors and/or angular distractors may connect the rings to each other so as to allow for distraction and/or reduction/compression of a bone. Linear distractors may enable an operator to move the rings towards and away from each other, while angular distractors may enable an operator to angle the rings relative to each other. In an embodiment using angular distractors, one or more angular separation assemblies may be positioned between the rings. These separation assemblies may have joints which may two portions which may be angled relative to each other and connected directly or indirectly to the rings. Various fasteners (e.g., nuts) and/or tightening members may configured for quick movement along and selective tightening to various components. Moreover, clamps may be attached to the rings and may engage pins, wire, rods, which may be inserted into bone to hold bone segments to each other. The components of the external fixation system may be provided in sets or kits so that the a surgeon may select various combinations of components to create an external fixation system which is configured specifically for the particular needs of a patient and the bone fracture/deformity.
