A battery terminal contactor for attachment to a battery housing is disclosed. The battery terminal contactor comprises a contactor portion and a base portion flexibly secured to the contactor portion. The base portion includes a fixed portion and a latch portion. The latch portion is resiliently connected to the fixed portion. The latch portion has a beveled hook portion for engaging an abutment on the battery housing as the battery terminal contactor is inserted in the housing, to bias the hook portion around the abutment to permit the hook portion to securely engage the abutment and secure the battery terminal contactor to the battery housing.

The present invention provides a device for connecting two circuit boards together. The device constitutes four side walls joined to define an aperture, a pin array disposed completely within the aperture, at least one resilient finger which acts to retain said pin array within the aperture, and a shoulder on at least one of the four side walls which prevents the pin array from passing through the aperture.

A door latch assembly, such as for a battery compartment of an electronic device, is disclosed. The door latch assembly comprises a housing having a pair of opposed, spaced flattened pins defining an elongated surface having a depth and a generally perpendicular narrowed surface having a thickness. The door latch assembly further comprises a door having first and second clasps for receiving the respective first and second pins. Each of the clasps includes an aperture and a slot leading to the aperture. The aperture has a breadth substantially equal to the depth of the elongated surface, and the slot has a gap substantially equal to the thickness of the narrowed surface. When assembling the door to the housing, each of the slots slides over the respective elongated surface to receive and captures the respective pin in the respective aperture.

A device holder (25) holds a device (27, 28) in spaced relation to a printed circuit board (30), sufficient space (43) being provided between the printed circuit board (30) and the device (27, 28) for mounting of circuit components (47,49) on the printed circuit board (30) between the device holder and the printed circuit board. A connection is provided between a connector (85) mounted on the printed circuit board (30) and a connector (82) mounted on leads (78) which are attached to the device (27, 28), the connection providing for the electrical connection and disconnection of the device (27, 28) and the printed circuit board (30). A housing (10) is provided for mounting the printed circuit board (30), device holder (25) and device (27, 28) therein. The device holder (25) is provided with a deformable retention clip (56) for retention of the device (27) within a chamber (51) of the device holder (25), and in response to actuation by an operator, removal of the device from the device holder.

A battery holder (25) holds a battery (27) in spaced relation to a printed circuit board (30), sufficient space (43) being provided between the printed circuit board (30) and the battery (27) for mounting of circuit components (47,49) on the printed circuit board (30) between the battery holder and the printed circuit board. A connection is provided between a connector (85) mounted on the printed circuit board (30) and a connector (82) mounted on leads (78) which are attached to the battery (27), the connection providing for the electrical connection and disconnection of the battery (27) and the printed circuit board (30). A housing (10) is provided for mounting the printed circuit board (30), battery holder (25) and battery (27) therein. The battery holder (25) is provided with a deformable retention clip (56) for retention of the battery (27) within a chamber (50,51) the holder (25), and in response to actuation by an operator, removal of the battery from the holder.

A fuse holder assembly (100) has a pair of fuse clips (23) which provide electrical connection between a fuse (22) and a circuit in a printed circuit board (15). The fuse holder assembly (100) securely holds a fuse (22) adjacent to an edge of the printed circuit board and in spaced relation to the printed circuit board (15) for easy access to the fuse and for maximizing the area on the printed circuit board available for circuit components or edge connector contacts. Each fuse clip (23) has a mounting base (25) for mounting to the printed circuit board and for providing electrical connection with the circuit on the printed circuit board, and a retention clip (33) attached to the mounting base. A support (55,58) supports the retention clip and provides access (53,70) to the retention clip for installation and removal of a fuse within the retention clip. The support (55,58) limits the movement of the retention clip with respect to the printed circuit board, while allowing resilient deformation of the clip for receiving and releasing a fuse.
