A wireless hoist system including a first hoist device having a first motor and a first wireless transceiver and a second hoist device having a second motor and a second wireless transceiver. The wireless hoist system includes a controller in wireless communication with the first wireless transceiver and the second wireless. The controller is configured to receive a user input and determine a first operation parameter and a second operation parameter based on the user input. The controller is also configured to provide, wirelessly, a first control signal indicative of the first operation parameter to the first hoist device and provide, wirelessly, a second control signal indicative of the second operation parameter to the second hoist device. The first hoist device operates based on the first control signal and the second hoist device operates based on the second control signal.

A method for expanding features of a gas engine replacement device that drives power equipment including controlling, by an electronic processor of the gas engine replacement device, a power switching network to selectively provide power from a battery pack to rotate a motor of the gas engine replacement device. A module interface of the gas engine replacement device receives an external electronics module. A type of the external electronics module received by the module interface is detected by the electronic processor of the gas engine replacement device. The gas engine replacement device is configured by the electronic processor based on the type of the received external electronics module. The electronic processor communicates with the external electronics module via the module interface.

A gas engine replacement device includes a housing, a battery receptacle coupled to the housing and configured to removably connect to a battery pack having a memory storing battery pack configuration data, a motor located within the housing, a power take-off shaft receiving torque from the motor and protruding from a side of the housing, a power switching network configured to selectively provide power from the battery pack to the motor, and a first electronic processor coupled to the power switching network and configured to control the power switching network to rotate the motor. Braking a power tool motor based on a phase voltage of the motor. The power tool includes a motor and a power source providing operating power to the motor. A power switching network is between the power source and the motor to drive the motor. An actuator is operable to provide an input. An electronic controller is connected to the actuator and the power switching network. The electronic controller is configured to receive an indication related to initiating braking of the motor, control the power switching network to allow the motor to coast, monitor a phase voltage of the motor, determine whether the phase voltage of the motor is equal to or less than a phase voltage threshold, and control, in response to the phase voltage of the motor being equal to or less than the phase voltage threshold, the power switching network to brake the motor.

The recessed portion is in a first sidewall of the plurality of sidewalls, and extends laterally inward. The arm has a first end fixed to the sidewall and an opposite, second end not connected with the first sidewall. The arm at least partially overlays the recessed portion to define a void within which electrical wires connected to the printed circuit board are retained proximate the first sidewall.

One embodiment provides an adapter for configuring device settings of a gas engine replacement device. The adapter includes a transceiver, a user interface, and an electronic processor. The electronic processor is configured to connect the adapter to the gas engine replacement device and generate a graphical user interface showing a plurality of configurable device settings. The electronic processor is also configured to receive user input to choose one or more device settings to configure and receive user input to configure the one or more device setting chosen and generate changed device settings. The electronic processor is also configured to transmit the changed device settings to the gas engine replacement device. The gas engine replacement device is then used to drive power equipment in accordance with the changed device settings.
