A protective barrier includes a first end post including a first plastic outer cover, the first plastic outer cover including a first opening with a first pin-receiving socket formed therein, a second end post including a second plastic outer cover, the second plastic outer cover including a second opening with a second pin-receiving socket formed therein, a first hollow plastic rail including a first end disposed in the first opening of the first end post such that a first through hole in the first end is aligned with the first pin-receiving socket, and a second end disposed in the second opening of the second end post such that a second through hole in the second end is aligned with the second pin-receiving socket, a first pin extending through the first through hole in the first end of the hollow plastic rail, the first pin having a proximal end disposed in the first pin-receiving socket and a distal end disposed in a third pin-receiving socket, and a second pin extending through the second through hole in the second end of the hollow plastic rail, the second pin having a proximal end disposed in the second pin-receiving socket and a distal end disposed in a fourth pin-receiving socket.

Protective barrier

A protective barrier includes a hollow plastic rail including first and second ends, a rounded metallic member disposed on the first end and a second metallic member disposed on the second end. The rounded metallic member includes a first opening for receiving the first end of the hollow plastic rail, a first anchoring mechanism for anchoring the rounded metallic member and the first end of the hollow plastic rail to a surface, and a rounded protrusion disposed on an outer surface of the rounded metallic member for receiving a force of impact and deflecting the force of impact away from the rounded metallic member. The second metallic member includes a second opening for receiving the second end of the hollow plastic rail and a second anchoring mechanism for anchoring the second metallic member and the second end of the hollow plastic rail to the surface.

A column protection apparatus includes a number of impact absorbing members, each impact absorbing member including a protrusion and a protrusion receiving opening. The protrusion of each impact absorption member is inserted into the protrusion receiving opening of another, different impact absorption member such that a column-receiving opening is formed through the impact absorbing members.

An impact absorbing barrier includes a plurality of posts and a plurality of rails. Each post of the plurality of posts includes an impact absorption mechanism. Each rail of the plurality of rails includes a first end coupled to a first post of the plurality of posts and a second end coupled to a second, different post of the plurality of posts. The coupling between the first end and the first post and the coupling between the second end and the second post cause at least some of a force of a collision on the first post to be transferred to the impact absorption mechanism of the second post.

A bollard comprises an elongate outer tubular cover, an elongate inner tubular core located within the outer tubular cover, a damper located at a lower end of the inner tubular core, and a washer arranged to locate the damper against the inner tubular core. The outer tubular cover and the inner tubular core are both substantially circular in horizontal cross-section and the outer tubular cover and the inner tubular core are not connected together. The bollard further comprises one or more bolts, each bolt passing through the washer, damper and inner tubular core and into the ground.

A door frame protection apparatus includes a first upright bar having a first end and a second end, the first end being anchored to a surface at a first anchor point, a second upright bar having a third end and a fourth end, the third end being anchored to the surface at a second anchor point, an overhead crossbar coupled to the second end of the first upright bar and to the fourth end of the second upright bar, a first impact absorption member resting on the first anchor point and having the first upright bar extending therethrough, the first impact absorption member being rotatable about the first upright bar, and a second impact absorption member resting on the second anchor point and having the second upright bar extending therethrough, the second impact absorption member being rotatable about the second upright bar.

Door frame protection apparatus

An impact absorption apparatus includes a force transfer member including a base and a sidewall extending from the base, the base including an opening, a shock absorber disposed within the force transfer member and resting on the base, the shock absorber including a through hole, a plate disposed within the force transfer member and resting on the shock absorber, the plate including a through hole, and a fastener that extends through the base opening, the shock absorber through hole, and the plate through hole, the fastener including an end protruding from the base opening, the fastener end configured to secure the force transfer member to a support surface. The force transfer member is configured so that when an impact force is applied to the force transfer member, the force is transferred from force transfer member to the shock absorber.
