A dust collection attachment system for use with a power tool having an elongated housing with a nose portion including a rotary output shaft. The nose portion is configured to have an accessory device mounted thereon, where the system includes a flexible dust hose attachable to the accessory device for removing dust and particles from the immediate area of the accessory device. The accessory device has a dust exhaust port for connection with the hose and a hose support removably attached to a rear end portion of the power tool opposite the nose portion thereof for supporting the dust hose The support includes a releasable mounting clasp on one end for attachment to the rear end of the power tool and a hose retaining clip attached to the mounting clasp.

Embodiments of the present invention are directed to a fixture assembly that is capable of holding work pieces such tiles of various sizes in various positions in a manner which enables freehand cutting. Various embodiments include a main fixture having a working top surface area that includes strategically placed cylindrical openings that are configured to receive easily manipulated tile holding clamps, various dogs that can be removably secured to the fixture in order to place tiles in a desirable position to be held during a cutting operations. Embodiments of the present invention are directed to a power router tool having an output shaft with a mechanism for attaching a working tool for engaging a work portion for performing a work operation thereon, comprising a generally cylindrical housing having a motor therein configured to drive the output shaft during operation, the housing having a nose portion from which the output shaft extends and a rear end portion opposite the nose portion, at least one switch in the housing operatively connected to the motor for controlling the operation thereof, an adjustable and removable depth guide mounted to the nose portion of the housing, the depth guide having an axial portion that is generally parallel to the output shaft and an end portion that is generally perpendicular to the output shaft, the axial and end portions having a construction that provided minimal visual obstruction during use.

A preferred embodiment of the preferred invention comprises a right angle attachment for a power hand tool of the type which has a generally cylindrical elongated housing with a motor contained within the housing or case and the motor having an output shaft that extends from the nose end of the hand tool. The attachment has a housing with a mounting end that fits on the nose end portion of the tool housing, with the housing having an input shaft and an output shaft that are operably coupled together by bevel gears attached to each shaft. A magnet is mounted on the output shaft near an electric circuit located within the housing for producing current that drives the LED's. Since the magnet and the circuit are inside the housing, a lens is provided in the housing adjacent the light producing device for emitting light to the exterior of the housing and toward the tool attached to the distal end.

A power tool having a handle includes a first member configured to selectively engage a housing of a power tool and a second member provided adjacent the first member and movable between a first position and a second position. A portion of the second member restricts movement of the first member when the second member is in the first position and the portion of the second member does not restrict movement of the first member when the second member is in the second position such that the first member may be moved to disengage the power tool housing.

A preferred embodiment of the invention comprises a tool chuck for a power hand tool of the type which has a generally cylindrical elongated housing with a motor contained within the housing or case and the motor having an output shaft that extends from the nose end of the hand tool, and which has one or more light producing devices located at its nose end for illuminating the work area during operation. The preferred embodiment of the tool chuck has an annular cylindrical light transmitting portion on the outside of the chuck body portion for transmitting light toward a tool bit held by the tool chuck. The preferred embodiment may have an inwardly oriented front end surface to direct the transmitted light toward the axis of the tool bit and may have an outer layer of resilient material to facilitate easy gripping of the tool chuck to tighten or loosen a tool bit.

An angle attachment for a rotary power tool includes a first assembly including a first shaft and a first gear and a second assembly including a second shaft and a second gear. The second gear engages the first gear and the central longitudinal axis of the second shaft is not collinear or parallel to the central longitudinal axis of the first shaft. The angle attachment further includes a member configured for removable coupling to a motor shaft of a rotary power tool and for removable coupling with the first assembly. At least a portion of the member is configured for insertion into a component of the first assembly.
