A venting grate includes a main portion, a first venting area, and a second venting area. The first venting area is defined by first, second, third, and fourth edges. Each of the first, second, third, and fourth edges extend from the main portion. The second venting area is defined by fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth edges. Each of the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth edges extend from the main portion. The third edge and the fifth edge extend away from the main portion of the venting grate and angle together to form a pointed edge between the first and second venting areas.

A chassis sled for carrying information handling resources may include a sled housing, a lever mechanically coupled to the sled housing and for aiding a user in engaging the chassis sled with and disengaging the chassis sled from a chassis, and a lever release mechanism mechanically coupled to the lever and the sled housing. The lever release mechanism may be configured to facilitate rotatable translation of the lever relative to the sled housing between a closed position and an open position and vice versa and in the closed position, slidably translate the lever between an unsecured position and a secured position and vice versa.

A multi-function handle for Information Handling System (IHS) chassis is described. In some embodiments, a chassis may include a sled configured to be installed in a rack; a drawer configured to slide in and out of the sled; and a front panel comprising a handle and a selector, the selector configured to allow a user to selectively pull from the rack using the handle: (i) the drawer without the sled, or (ii) the sled and the drawer. A method may include accessing a chassis installed in a rack, the chassis comprising: (i) a drawer configured to slide in and out of a sled; and (ii) a front panel having a handle and a selector; determining that the selector is in a first position; and pulling the handle to slide the drawer without the sled outward from the rack.

An information handling system status alert system includes an information handling system (IHS). The IHS includes a frame, a processor supported by the frame and a memory module communicatively coupled to the processor. The IHS additionally includes an operational display device coupled with the frame such that the operational display device is viewable from a first side of the frame. Furthermore, the IHS includes a status alert display device coupled with the frame such that the status alert display device is viewable from a second side of the frame, wherein the second side of the frame is substantially opposite the first side of the frame.

An improved modular server handle mechanism. The handle mechanism provides a translating handle mechanism that does not visibly function like a cam lever, and provides a carry handle solution when transporting the blade. In operation, to remove a blade server, a user pushes a button that releases the handle from a locked position. The handle is then pulled, and the cam levers undock the blade module from the chassis. When the cam motion is complete, the handle 'locks out' in an open position to provide a carry handle.
