Systems and methods for depositing monetary funds into an account are described. A first request from a first individual to deposit monetary funds into an account associated with an entity may be received. The first individual is not an account owner of the account. Monetary funds from the first individual may be received for deposit in the account. The monetary funds may include cash, checks, credit card transfers, and/or debit card transfers. The receipt of the first request may be receipt of a paper ticket with an access code authorizing deposit of monetary funds into the account. One or more restrictions may be reviewed to authorize the deposit of monetary funds in the account.

Deposit for non-account holders

Apparatus and methods for servicing a self-service device ('SSD') such as an ATM. The SSD may include a customer service module that may perform part of a transaction or provide a service in support of the transaction. For example, the customer service module may be a currency acceptor, a printer, EPROM or any other device or circuit that is present in the SSD. The SSD may include a component map that may be stored in machine readable memory. An element of the map may correspond to the component. The SSD may include a central processing unit that may revise the map based on input from a service technician or machine-generated information. The map may be used to track the presence of the component in the SSD.

Self-service device inventory information control

Systems and methods for permitting a specific individual to deposit monetary funds in an account are described. A first request to permit a specific individual to deposit monetary funds into an account associated with an entity may be received. The specific individual is not an account owner of the account. At least one account owner defined criterion identifying the specific individual is received, and data representing a permission for the specific individual to deposit monetary funds into the account associated with the entity is stored. The at least one criterion may include a name, an address, and/or some other identifier of the specific individual. One or more restrictions may be placed on the ability to deposit monetary funds in the account. Additional specific individuals with similar and/or different restrictions on the ability to deposit may be permitted to deposit monetary funds into the account.

Deposit permissions for specific non-account holders

A self-service device for implementing automated fault resolution is provided. The self-service device may include a memory module for storing self-service device fault data. The self-service device may include a computational module for analyzing the self-service device fault data and for selecting an automated fault resolution subroutine to correct the fault condition. The self-service device may also include a monitoring module for determining whether a customer transaction is ongoing. And, if a customer transaction is not ongoing, the computational module may instruct the self-service device to initiate the selected fault resolution subroutine.

Self-service terminal remote fix

Apparatus and methods for remotely managing a self-service terminal. The apparatus and methods may involve a receiver module configured to receive an input from a self-service device, a computational module and a transmission module. The input may include information regarding a fault-related event. The computational module may determine whether an index corresponding to the fault-related event exceeds a predetermined threshold based on fault-related events. The transmission module may send an electronic notification of a possible self-service device operational failure if the index exceeds the predetermined threshold.

Analysis of self-service terminal operational data

Systems and methods for permitting a credit card payment are described. An individual associated with a credit card account of an entity may be identified. A request to permit the individual associated with the credit card account of the entity to deposit a credit card payment in a self-service financial transaction device associated with the entity may be received. An identifier of the individual associated with the credit card account may be read. A request from the individual to deposit monetary funds as the credit card payment into the self-service financial transaction device may be received, and a determination may be made as to whether the individual is authorized to make the deposit. Monetary funds from the individual for deposit as the credit card payment may be received. One or more restrictions may be placed on the ability to deposit monetary funds as the credit card payment.

Deposit for entity associated non-account holders

A method for operating an electronic self-service device is provided. The method may include using an electronic receiver module to receive electronic data from the self-service device. The electronic data may include information regarding a limited access personal identification number ('PIN'). The method may further include using an electronic computational module to test the PIN using a plurality of algorithms. The testing preferably determines whether the PIN corresponds to one of a plurality of stored PIN offset values. The method may also include identifying an algorithm that obtains a correspondence between the PIN and one of the plurality of stored PIN offset values. The method may further include using an electronic transmitter to transmit a signal corresponding to the algorithm used to obtain the correspondence and receiving an electronic authorization message that comprises instructions. The instructions may provide limited access authorization information.

Self-service terminal limited access personal identification number ('PIN')

A server that remotely monitors an Automated Teller Machine ('ATM') is provided. The server includes a memory module for maintaining information including identification of software applications resident on the self-service device, identification of firmware applications resident on the self-service device, and identification of the hardware resident on the self-service device. The server also includes a communications module for receiving updates of the identification of software applications resident on the self-service device, updates of the identification of firmware applications resident on the self-service device, and updates of identification of the hardware resident on the self-service device. The server may also include a processing module for storing in the memory module the updates of the identification of software applications resident on the self-service device, the updates of identification of firmware applications resident on the self-service device, and the updates of identification of the hardware resident on the self-service device.

Self-service terminal firmware visibility

An internet browser-based portal system is provided. The internet browser-based portal system may be configured to receive information relating to a plurality of Automated Teller Machines ('ATMs'). The internet browser-based portal system may be further configured to classify each of the ATMs according to the fault information received for each of the ATMs. The internet browser-based portal system may also be configured to display information for each of the ATMs based at least in part on the classification of each of the ATMs.

Self-service terminal portal management

Thus, methods and apparatus for providing adaptive diagnostics for ATM fault conditions are provided. Such methods and apparatus may include one or more computer-readable media storing computer-executable instructions which, when executed by a processor on a computer system, perform a method for diagnosing an electronic self-service device fault condition. The method may include receiving an input from a self-service device. The input may include information regarding a fault-related event. The method may also include assessing a plurality of system-level ramifications of the fault-related event. In response to the assessing, the method may further include determining continued viability of a plurality of ATM services. The method may also include electronically providing a notification of a list of remaining viable self-service device services.

Adaptive diagnostics for automated teller machine('ATM') fault conditions

Apparatus and methods for monitoring a self-service device network. The network may include an electronic payment platform and self-service devices that electronically exchange payment information and are in electronic communication with a transaction authorization channel. The apparatus and methods may involve a receiver module and a web server module. The receiver module may receive fault-related event information from the electronic self-service devices. The receiver module may receive a transaction authorization channel error notification corresponding to the transaction authorization channel. The web server module may provide reporting information based on the fault-related events and the transaction authorization channel error notification to a user.

Self-service terminal configuration management

A method, system, computer program product, and apparatus, or a combination of the foregoing for remotely connecting to an Intelligent Cash Recycler. A user connects to any Intelligent Cash Recycler tied into the system in order to remotely access, monitor, communicate, update, trouble-shoot, perform maintenance on, and settle accounts of the remotely located Intelligent Cash Recyclers. Incident reports are created in real-time to indicate when there is an issue with a particular Intelligent Cash Recycler. The system routes the incident reports to the appropriate groups, so that the groups may address the incident reports and resolve the problem. Specifically, a group may, for example, resolve some incidents by making changes to the remotely located cash recycler configuration settings, pushing new files to the recycler, or updating the software or firmware associated with the remotely located cash recycler.

Intelligent cash recycler remote capabilities

Apparatus and methods for monitoring a plurality of electronic self-service devices. The apparatus and methods may involve a receiver module, a database module, and a web server module. The receiver module may receive from each of the electronic self-service devices information regarding a fault-related event. The database module may associate each of the fault-related events with one of multiple event types. The database module may store the fault-related event information in machine readable memory. The web server module may provide reporting information based on the fault-related events to a user.

Self-service terminal reporting

A method for determining for determining a root cause of each of a plurality of operational faults is provided. The method includes receiving electronic notification of the plurality of operational faults. The method may also include analyzing the plurality of operational faults to determine whether a shared characteristic of the plurality of operational faults exists. And, if a shared characteristic of the plurality of operational faults exists, the method may include terminating generation of operator notifications in response to receiving electronic notification of operational faults comprising the shared characteristic.
