An Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) system may include a plurality of ADS-B terrestrial stations, with each ADS-B terrestrial station comprising an antenna and wireless circuitry associated therewith defining a station gain pattern. The system may further include a controller including a variational autoencoder (VAE) configured to compress station pattern data from the plurality of ADS-B terrestrial stations, create a normal distribution of the compressed data in a latent space of the VAE, and decompress the compressed station pattern data from the latent space. The controller may also include a processor coupled to the VAE and configured to process the decompressed station pattern data using a probabilistic model selected from among different probabilistic models based upon a game theoretic reward matrix, determine an anomaly from the processed decompressed station pattern data, and generate an alert (e.g., a station specific alert) based upon the determined anomaly.

Systems and methods for efficient feature based image and video analysis

Method for identifying objects within a three-dimensional point cloud data set. The method includes a fractal analysis () on a data set where the data set is comprised of data points () having positions distributed in three-dimensions. The fractal analysis facilitates identification of one or more object classes. The object class specifies a category of physical object. A phase congruency analysis () is then performed on the data set based on the object class identified by the fractal analysis. The phase congruency analysis is advantageously performed on an interpolated, noise reduced version of the data set (which can be obtained prior to performing the phase congruency analysis). Upon completion of the phase congruency analysis, a further object identifying step is performed based on the phase congruency analysis.

Method for 3D object identification and pose detection using phase congruency and fractal analysis

A three-dimensional (3D) volumetric geo-spatial querying system. The system can include a 3D GIS. The 3D GIS can include a database of geo-spatial data configured to store geo-spatial data using, not two-dimensional, but three-dimensional coordinates. The GIS further can include at least one database operation configured to process a database query against geo-spatial data stored in the database. Notably, the database operation can accept three-dimensional coordinates as part of the database query. Importantly, the 3D GIS can include a geo-spatial data encoder configured to encode the geo-spatial data prior to storing the geo-spatial data in the database. In particular, in one aspect of the present invention, the encoder can be a helical hyperspatial code encoder, or an oct-tree encoder.

Three-dimensional volumetric geo-spatial querying

An image processing system renders, displays and provides virtual user navigation through multiple size and aspect views of a three-dimensional (3D) geometric model of an object, such as an urban scene. A user interface, such as a mouse or joystick device, is coupled to a digital image processor and is employed to supply image manipulation signals to the digital image processor for manipulating images displayed upon a digital image display device. The digital image display device contains an overview display window that displays the object from a 'bird's eye' or map perspective, and an inset display window that displays the object from a 'down inside the scene' perspective. In response to user interface-sourced commands, the processor can swap the two image perspectives and/or controllably navigate through the inset image.
