A robotic system comprising an end effector-mounted sensor is disclosed. In various embodiments, a robotic arm is manipulated to move a sensor to a position such that an object of interest is within a read range of the sensor. A sensor data read by the sensor is received via a communication interface. The sensor data is used to determine an attribute of the object; and the determined attribute of the object is used to determine a plan to grasp and move the object.

Robotic singulation system sensor

A robotic system is disclosed which includes a robotic arm having n degrees of freedom, the robotic arm comprising a base and a set of serially connected links and joints connected to the base; an enabler joint assembly comprising a mounting location at which the base of the robotic arm is mounted and having a rotational axis, offset from the mounting location, about which the enabler joint assembly is configured to rotate the mounting location; and a processor configured to control a first set of motors associated with the n degrees of freedom of the robotic arm and an enabler joint motor comprising the enabler joint assembly to control operation of the robotic arm within an extended operating space defined at least in part by the n degrees of freedom of the robotic arm and an (n+1)degree of freedom provided by the enabler joint assembly.

Robotic system to load and unload trucks and other containers

A robotic singulation system is disclosed. In various embodiments, sensor data image data associated with a plurality of items present in a workspace is received. The sensor data is used to determine and implement a plan to autonomously operate a robotic structure to pick one or more items from the workspace and place each item singly in a corresponding location in a singulation conveyance structure. The plan includes performing an active measure to change or adapt to a detected state or condition associated with one or more items in the workspace.

Singulation of arbitrary mixed items

The present application discloses a system, a method, and a computer system for correlating information to facilitate automated sortation. The method includes (i) receiving, by one or more processors, a first optical sensor data comprising a first element of routing data required to route an item but not a second element of routing data required, in addition to the first element, to route the item, (ii) obtaining the second element of routing data from a second optical sensor data, and (iii) causing the item to be routed based at least in part on the first element of routing data and the second element of routing data.

Correlating information to facilitate automated sortation

A repositionable riser is provided. The repositionable riser may be used in connection with a robotic arm deployed in a workspace. The repositionable riser includes a riser having one or more mounting locations at or near an upper end of the riser configured to fixedly mount an equipment on the riser, a lateral translation subsystem comprising a carriage on which the riser is mounted and a set of one or more elongated structures that define a constrained lateral path along which the carriage is movable, the path including a first end associated with active use of the equipment and a second end not associated with active use of the equipment, and an anchor structure to which one or both of the carriage and the riser are configured to be coupled to secure the riser at the first end.

Repositionable robot riser

A vacuum cup connected to a robotic arm for picking and placing items is disclosed. The vacuum cup includes one or more walls that defines (i) a first internal cavity and (ii) an opening to the first internal cavity, wherein the first internal cavity is defined at least in part by an interior surface adjacent to the opening to the first internal cavity, the interior surface defining an internal ridge positioned to mechanically engage a material drawn into the first internal cavity through the opening at an angle such that the mechanical engagement resists the material being removed from the first internal cavity via the opening. In response to the item being engaged and the suction system controlling the pressure within the first internal cavity to create a vacuum seal between the vacuum cup and the item, at least part of the item is caused to enter the first internal cavity at least during engagement of the vacuum seal.

A system for providing a reduced common public radio interface (CPRI) framelet link includes one or more cellular towers, each cellular tower including one or more cellular antennas and coupled to a first short CPRI fiber link. An access subsystem is coupled to a baseband pool. The access subsystem is coupled to the first short CPRI fiber link via a first framelet block, and the first framelet block facilitates interfacing the first short CPRI fiber link to the access subsystem.

CPRI framelets

A method of wireless communication utilizing a communication system that includes a baseband module that is in communication with a radio module via an Ethernet communication link. The method of wireless communication can include the synchronization of the internal reference clocks of the baseband module and radio module. A hierarchical arrangement can be used to synchronize the internal reference clocks with a grandmaster clock within the communication system. Further, packet transit calculations can be used to synchronize the internal reference clocks.

Radio over Ethernet

Aspects of efficient signal compression format schemes are described. In various embodiments, samples are grouped into one or more blocks. One or more scaling factors are determined for the samples in the one or more blocks. In some cases, a block scaling factor is determined for each block. Further, in some embodiments, if a unique scaling factor exists among samples in a block, the position of the sample is identified. In turn, sign extension bits are scaled from the one or more blocks, and samples in the one or more blocks are quantized. In one embodiment, based on a number of sign extension bits scaled from the block and whether the unique scaling factor exists, a scaling code word is encoded for the block. In other embodiments, implicity, adaptive scaling, and/or adaptive quantization, for example, are used to increase the performance of the compression schemes.

Efficient signal compression format schemes

In a base station, a configurable radio unit allows for communication with a baseband processor that satisfies a CPRI standard while allowing personalization and customization by the end user in order to prevent undesired usage and/or access by other users/competitors. The radio module is programmable to allow for specific designation of the location, lengths, and types of signal and control information within CPRI basic frames. By being configured to allow for the adjustment of these parameters, the radio module can be commonly and mass produced while allowing for end users of the processors to personalize their use without additional hardware components, such as FPGA circuits. In addition, by generating a container frame, the radio module can allow for asynchronous communication between the CPRI standard and an employed communication scheme.

Configurable integrated radio processor

A system for signal processing includes: a plurality of signal processing units associated with corresponding channels; a feedback channel for receiving a selected feedback signal through a selector of an output associated with each of the signal processing units; and a correlator connected to the feedback channel and having a receiving unit to receive the selected feedback signal, an error calculating unit to calculate an error based at least in part on the selected feedback signal, and a correction calculation unit to generate a correcting information based at least in part on the error. In some cases, the association between the signal processing units and the signal channels is configured based on a mode.

Multi-modal signal processing with linearization

A system for linearization signal processing with context switching comprises a plurality of signal processing units, a storage unit, a feedback channel, and a correlator. The plurality of signal processing units is associated with corresponding input data signals. The storage unit is to store context states associated with input data signals and corresponding feedback signals. The feedback channel is to convey feedback signals from outputs associated with the plurality of signal processing units. The correlator is coupled to the feedback channel and generates respective correcting information to be used by respective signal processing units, wherein a respective correcting information is based upon a context state and a feedback state associated with an input data signal.

Linearization signal processing with context switching

An open bottomed wheeled carriage has upstanding side plates between which a flexible mat is dragged over the ground. The front end only of the mat is secured to a cross bar on the carriage at a height greater than that of a golf ball on the ground. The mat is made up of pivotally joined rings or rings and links or parallel chains so that balls on the ground over which the mat is pulled will pass upwardly through the rings or between links or chains to the upper surface of the mat. A cleated endless belt, driven by the carriage supporting ground wheels, sweeps the balls rearwardly over the mat into a container on the rear of the carriage.
