An absorbent article comprising an absorbent gelling material (AGM) having an encapsulated compound of one or more odor controlling organic compounds disposed upon a surface thereof is described. Alternatively, an AGM particle comprising an encapsulated reactive compound of one or more odor controlling organic compounds disposed as a surface coating thereon is described. Additionally, a method to manufacture an absorbent article is described. The method provides for the steps of: a) providing a solution in a solvent system, the solution has an encapsulating agent and one or more odor controlling organic compounds as a surface coating; b) applying an amount of the solution to a surface of an AGM particle; and, c) incorporating the AGM particle having the solution applied thereto into the absorbent article.

Absorbent articles comprising encapsulating agents

Personal care products are provided. An exemplary personal care product includes a composition that is applied to the body or clothing, or an article applied against the body; a plurality of particles associated with the composition or a component of the article, the plurality of particles, at least some of the plurality of particles comprising a cyclodextrin complexing material and a first fragrance material, wherein the percent of the first fragrance material that is complexed with the cyclodextrin is greater than about 90%, so that the perceptibility of the first fragrance is minimized prior to its release; and a second fragrance material that is not complexed with the cyclodextrin and that is different from the first fragrance material, wherein the composition or article does not contain an antiperspirant active.

Compositions and/or articles comprising cyclodextrin complexing material

Disclosed are absorbent articles having a cyclodextrin complex of one or more odor controlling organic compounds wherein the cyclodextrin is a substituted cyclodextrin (wherein the H atom of OH groups in positions 2, 3 and 6 is partially or entirely replaced by a substituent &#x2014;R) having a substitution degree (DS) of 0.4 or more &#x2014;R substituents per molecule of cyclodextrin and wherein substitution in position 2 is 20% or above, in position 6 is 20% or above and in position 3 is 50% or below. Cyclodextrin complexes of this type release the odor controlling organic compound much faster and in more complete manner than non-substituted or differently substituted cyclodextrin complexes thus the odor control efficacy is improved.

Absorbent article comprising cyclodextrin complexes

An absorbent article selected from a sanitary napkin, an incontinence pad and a pantyliner, comprising a topsheet layer, a backsheet layer, a fastening adhesive applied on the backsheet garment facing surface. The adhesive comprises one or more thermoplastic elastomers. The article comprises a fragrance or odor control composition comprising one more esters, having a log P value of 2.9 or higher and a Kovats Retention Index of 1450 or higher, at least 90% of which are in encapsulated or complexed form.

Absorbent article comprising a fragrance or odor control composition

Aerosolized compositions including a cyclic oligosaccharide; a fragrance; a volatile solvent; and a propellant; wherein the aerosolized composition is free of nonvolatile solvents are described herein. The aerosolized compositions and methods disclosed herein may provide a longer lasting fragrance.

Absorbent articles comprising one or more complexed or encapsulated compounds compounds selected from: melonal, adoxal, trans-2-hexenal, ligustral, Floral Super, Florhydral, 5-methyl-2-thiophene-carboxaldehyde, hydratropic aldehyde, undecenal, 9-undecenal, 10-undecenal, trans-4-decenal, cis-6-nonenal, isocyclocitral, precyclemone b, (E)-2,(z)-6-nonadienal, undecyl aldehyde, methyl-octyl-acetaldehyde, Lauric aldehyde, silvial, vanillin, floralozone; are particularly effective in reducing malodors coming from degradation of proteinaceous materials such as food, menses or feces.

A cleansing composition comprising at least 5% of a surfactant, at least about 25% water, a cyclodextrin complex comprising a perfume, wherein 80% of the plurality of perfume raw materials comprise a FDV of at least 0.69.

A body wash composition comprising a surfactant, at least about 25% water, a cyclodextrin complex comprising a perfume, wherein 80% of the plurality of perfume raw materials comprise a FDV of at least 0.69.

Antiperspirant compositions comprising: (a) from about 0.1% to about 30% by weight of the composition, of a high-efficacy antiperspirant active; (b) from about 0.1% to about 35% by weight of the composition, of a thickening agent; (c) from about 10% to about 99% by weight of the composition, of an anhydrous liquid carrier; (d) from about 5 ppm to about 20% by weight of the composition, of a primary fragrance; and (e) from at least about 5 ppm by weight of the composition, of a secondary fragrance that is distinct from the primary fragrance and is included in a surfactant-free, water-releasable matrix, which renders the secondary fragrance within the matrix substantially odorless prior to aqueous activation, wherein the antiperspirant composition is substantially devoid of a malodor reducing agent.
