A product life cycle management system for use in manufacturing a customizable manufactured article using one of a plurality of manufacturing line configurations is described. A graph data structure is stored in memory, including a plurality of connected nodes including one or more applicability group nodes for applicability groups representing the manufacturing line configurations and object nodes for objects representing components used in the line configurations, the object nodes being connected to the one or more corresponding applicability group nodes to thereby encode in the graph data structure the manufacturing line configurations with which each object is related. A manufacturing-related query from a user is performed on the graph data structure, and one or more object-applicability group relationships are determined based on the manufacturing-related query.

Product life cycle line configuration management system using graph data structure

A control system for updating a context-driven build plan for production of a physical vehicle. The control system includes a design engineering database, a manufacturing database, and a production database all having pluralities of digital data objects. A criterion module is configured to assign a context criterion to any of the digital data objects. The criterion module assigns the context criterion to a particular digital data object based on properties and/or rules associated with a particular digital data object. A user interface receives an input of a requested change. A mapping module configured to establish a mapping between the particular design digital data object and any other digital data objects. An authority approves the requested change. A change module updates the context-driven build plan with a digital change request. Accordingly, an updated build plan is generated.

Automated context driven build plan lifecycle

An apparatus, system, and method for distributing authority for data objects. Each of the data objects in a replication set is stored at a different data storage site and comprises a copy of a content. An edit authority is assigned to only one of the data storage sites at a time using an edit authority object corresponding to the replication set that is transferable between the data storage sites. Responsive to a change to the content of a data object located at a particular data storage site having the edit authority, an update is propagated to a remaining portion of the data storage sites to affect eventual consistency of the replication set. Usability of the data objects at the remaining portion of the data storage sites is maintained until the update is received and processed to thereby reduce a time and expense associated with maintaining data consistency.
