A preferred system and method for displaying a building information model includes a system administrator, and a headset unit removably attached to a construction hardhat via a set of clips. The headset further includes a set of stereo cameras. The cameras capture an image of the construction site to orient the user view and overlay an image. A position of the headset is determined relative to a registration marker using the cameras and motion sensors. The overlayed image is projected to the display based on the position and orientation of the headset.

System for virtual display and method of use

A preferred system and method for displaying a set of indicator coordinates in relation to a building information model includes a system administrator, a registration base and a headset unit. The system includes a headset including a display and a registration base for initial placement of the headset. The headset further includes a set of stereo cameras. The cameras capture an image of the construction site and overlay an image which includes the indicator coordinates. A position of the headset is determined relative to the registration base from motion sensors. A set of indicator coordinates is downloaded and projected to the display based on the position and orientation of the headset.

A preferred system and method for projecting a business information model at a construction site includes a network, a system administrator connected to the network, a database connected to the system administrator, a set of registration markers positioned in the construction site, and a set of user devices connected to the network. The system includes a hard hat, a set of headsets mounted to the hard hat, a set of display units movably connected to the set of headsets, a set of cameras connected to the set of headsets, and a wearable computer connected to the set of headsets and to the network. The cameras capture an image of the set of registration markers. A position of the user device is determined from the image and an orientation is determined from motion sensors. A BIM is downloaded and projected to a removable visor based on the position and orientation.

A signal device is provided for identifying and communicating a location or hazard, concealed within a housing on a hard hat having a pocket. Further provided is a detachable housing to be placed in the pocket. Embodiments incorporate a speaker for audible identification, a light emitting diode (LED) for visual identification and a global positioning sensor (GPS) for identifying the wearer's location and various circuits and systems that utilize the invention.

The present invention includes a method and apparatus for processing gas discharge tubing. The apparatus includes a manifold pumping station, a fill and evacuation station and a data acquisition station. The data acquisition station enables the processor of the tubing to input, record and archive manufacturing data such as the identity of the electrode manufacturer, the tube length and diameter, the date of processing the serial number of the tube, the fill gas, the temperature of the glass during processing, the vacuum pressure inside the tube, the current used to bombard the tube, and other variables.
