Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to techniques and devices for uplink gap configuration and determination of uplink resources after uplink gap distribution. Certain aspects are directed to an apparatus for wireless communications at a user equipment (UE). The UE may include a memory comprising instructions, and one or more processors configured to execute the instructions. In some examples, the instructions may cause the apparatus to obtain, from a base station, an uplink gap pattern (ULGP) configuration indicating a first ULGP associated with a first time window, wherein the first ULGP is indicative of a distribution of one or more uplink slots activated as uplink gaps within the first time window, and wherein the one or more uplink slots are independent from being used for any transmission initiated by the apparatus.

Uplink resource availability

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Techniques to use capability information for user equipment in wide band systems such as millimeter wave systems. The capability information can include information indicative of support for limited non-contiguous intra-band carrier aggregation. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine an average energy level radiated by the UE over a time period. Techniques for signaling maximum permissible exposure backoff indication

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a network node, a first uplink transmission using a first transmit power that is based at least in part on: a first power level associated with the first uplink transmission, and a power scaling factor based at least in part on a power offset. Aspects described herein relate to energy headroom report (EHR) and sustainable duty cycle (SDC) reporting for dynamic power aggregation. In one example, a user equipment (UE) may identify an available energy or available time period for an uplink transmission via uplink carrier aggregation or dual connectivity. The UE may further transmit, to a network entity, a report including the available energy or available time period for uplink transmission. In another example, a network entity may transmit a configuration message to configure the UE with carrier aggregation or dual connectivity. The network entity may further receive a report including the available energy or time for uplink transmission via carrier aggregation or dual connectivity. The network entity may further adjust uplink communication with the UE based on the received report.

Techniques for energy headroom report (EHR) and sustainable duty cycle (SDC) reporting for dynamic power aggregation

Aspects include systems and methods for compressed direct current (DC) location reporting, such as DC location reporting in uplink (UL) carrier aggregation (CA) deployments in a wireless network. Various aspects may include a UE computing device determining and indicating DC locations only for a subset of a plurality of component carriers (CCs) in a channel bandwidth to a base station and/or a UE computing device determining and indicating DC locations for a subset of activation permutations for bandwidth parts (BWPs) of a plurality of CCs in a channel bandwidth that is less than all possible activation permutations of the BWPs of the plurality of CCs in the channel bandwidth.

A user equipment (UE) can report direct current (DC) subcarrier location information for a subset of possible combinations of bandwidth parts and component carriers supported by a base station. In one aspect, the UE can receive, from a scheduling entity, a message for activating a first combination of bandwidth parts (BWPs) and component carriers (CCs) in a list including a subset of combinations of BWPs and CCs configured for the UE. A user equipment (UE) may determine that uplink communications are to be performed between the UE and a first cell group associated with a first radio access technology (RAT) and between the UE and a second cell group associated with a second RAT. The UE may determine that the UE is configured for power sharing for the uplink communications with the first cell group associated with the first RAT and the second cell group associated with the second RAT. The UE may calculate, based on the power sharing and the uplink communications, a power reduction factor for the uplink communications between the UE and the second cell group. The UE may perform the uplink communications with the first cell group and selectively perform the uplink communications with the second cell group.

Multiplexing solutions in dual connectivity

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a UE capability message, the UE capability message indicating a supported transmit antenna switching (TxAS) capability for each port of the UE. The UE may receive a configuration message indicating an uplink multiple-input/multiple-output (UL MIMO) configuration for the UE, the UL MIMO configuration being based at least in part on the UE capability message. The UE may identify, based at least in part on the configuration message, a sounding reference signal (SRS) configuration to use for transmitting SRSs in conjunction with the UL MIMO communications, the SRS configuration comprising a configuration for transmission by the UE of SRSs using at least one of the two or more ports of the UE, the SRSs transmitted on one or more antennas of the UE selected according to a TxAS configuration for the respective port.

DPD training and calibration

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may perform a calibration to improve the accuracy, reliability, or both of signal transmissions. The UE may determine timing for the calibration procedure based on a received identifier for the UE (e.g., a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI), such as a cell RNTI (C-RNTI)). For example, the UE may determine a calibration offset between a reference time and a calibration gap according to an equation using at least the identifier as input. During the calibration gap, the UE may transmit a calibration signal using one or more antenna ports and may calibrate (e.g., adjust power amplification for) the one or more antenna ports based on an estimated actual transmit power for the calibration signal (e.g., received by other antenna ports of the UE or received by another device).

A transmitting device, which may be an example of a user equipment and/or a base station, may receive a signal from a receiving device indicating an antenna topology supported by the receiving device.
