Systems and methods applicable, for instance, in interactive session provision. One or more nodes and/or other computers might, for example, provide to one or more other nodes and/or other computers the ability to employ certain software for an interactive session. A node and/or other computer providing the ability might, for instance, provide to a node and/or other computer receiving the ability software to be used in the interactive session, and/or one or more appropriate keys. A node and/or other computer that has received the ability might, for example, lose the ability with interactive session termination.

System and method for interactive session provision

A method, device, and system including a digital rights management (DRM) license manager to protect software applications from unauthorized use. The DRM license manager system binds essential application data to a software license. This binding is achieved by adding an encryption key to a software license and encrypting the application data with that key. The essential application data is any kind of data which is required for proper operation of the program, such as media files, game levels or state tables. The DRM license manager system performs a check and decrypt operation of the essential application data during program run time. It requires that the license is available on the system. It also ensures that the decryption operation can only take place if the conditions defined in the license are met.

Digital rights management (DRM) license manager

A system and system is disclosed to protect media content via location-based data. Multimedia devices are equipped with locator devices, such as a GPS unit, or similar device. The multimedia devices preferably contain the device's International Mobile Equipment Identification (IMEI), and International Mobile Subscriber Identification (IMSI). When multimedia content is created on the multimedia device, such as image or sound files, the present invention encodes the multimedia content with location data from the locator device. Additionally, the multimedia device's IMEI and IMSI, as well as the time and the date, may be encoded onto the multimedia content. Under an alternate embodiment, a remote server performs the encoding of the multimedia content.

Location-based content protection

The invention discloses a method, device and computer program product for activating the right of use of at least one secured content item in a device. The method comprises providing a device with at least one unencrypted rights object, wherein the at least one rights object assigns the right of use of at least one secured content item. When the device is powered on for the first time, a device-resident program is executed and the program encrypts at least one rights object with a device-specific encryption key.

Method, device and computer program product for activating the right of use at least one secured content item

The invention relates to a method, electronic device and computer program for providing digital rights management. The electronic device comprises a first clock and an optional second clock. The electronic device may store at least one protected media object and rights associated with the media object. A time attack event is detected in the electronic device. A barring time is increased when a time attack event occurs. The barring time is decreased regularly. It is checked whether the barring time exceeds a predefined value at a request to present at least one media object. The at least one media object is presented if that is allowed by rights associated with the at least one media object and the barring time does not exceed the predefined value. The benefits of the invention are related to improved enforcement of digital rights.

Method for utilizing intelligent clock controller in digital rights management

The invention relates to a method for maintaining an object ( ), and a maintenance system. At the object ( ), the operation is monitored to report the situation prevailing at the object ( ) to on-call duty personnel ( ). In the method, at least one transmission step is taken, in which at least one notice message is formed, and at least one formed notice message is transmitted by short-range communication means ( ). At the sorting step, it is sorted out, whether information about the prevailing situation is to be transmitted to the on-call duty personnel, wherein if the transmission can be performed, information about the prevailing situation is transmitted to the on-call duty personnel ( ).
