An electronic module adapted to be removably, operably connected to an electronic device. The electronic module includes a housing; at least one electronic component in the housing; and a plurality of electrical contact areas. The housing has a general electronic card shape with relatively large top and bottom sides and relatively thin side edges between the top and bottom sides. The plurality of electrical contact areas are located on a first one of the side edges. The electrical contact areas are connected to the at least one electronic component such that, when the electronic module is operably connected to the electronic device, the electrical contact areas on the first side edge are adapted to electrically couple the at least one electronic component to the electronic device along the first side edge.

Removable electronic module

The invention relates to a connector comprising at least a contact element, which has at least an unconnected state and a connected state; and a pre-loading element, which has at least a first position and a second position. When the pre-loading element is in the first position, it forces the contact element into the unconnected state and when the pre-loading element is in the second position, it allows the contact element to transfer to the connected state.

A connector housing for receiving a memory card, the housing comprising at least a bottom part and a cover part which is arranged to be movable in relation to the bottom part and which, in turn, comprises at least a shield part and first contact means which are arranged to connect the shield part to the ground level of the device, at least when the cover part is closed. The connector housing also comprises at least second contact means which are arranged to be coupled via the shield part, when the cover part is in the open position. Furthermore, the invention relates to a device comprising a connector housing for a memory card, as well as a method for anticipating the removal of a memory card in the connector housing.

Movable shield with switching means for memory card

An electronic module reader including a housing having a receiving area adapted to removably receive an electronic module; electrical signal contacts connected to the housing; and a module detection and ejection pre-warning switch. The switch is adapted to be contacted by the electronic module in the receiving area. The switch is adapted to signal presence and absence of the electronic module in the receiving area, and adapted to signal movement of the electronic module from a home mated position with the electrical signal contacts towards an electrically disconnected position.

Electronic module reader

A mobile station (MS) that includes an interface card slot (SLOT) to which it is possible to connect either an MMC-card or a small SIM-card. To connect the small interface card a separate adapter the size of an MMC-card is used, or, in addition to the first contact pins for use of an MMC-card, second contact pins for use of a SIM-card are arranged to the interface card slot. The operating voltage of the interface card is selected to fit the currently used interface card. In some embodiments of the present invention at least partially shared contact pins, which have been multiplexed, are being used to connect MMC- and SIM-cards.

Method and means for using additional cards in a mobile station

A method and an arrangement for anticipating a disengagement moment of a battery package of a battery-operated electric device, and a battery-operated electric device. The arrangement of the device facilitates the reliable fixing of a power supply and saves space on a circuit board in a way suited for mass production.

Electronic device

The present invention relates to a communication unit (50, 58) comprising a radio module (50, 58) and an antenna (30, 40) to be coupled thereto. The communication unit (50,58) and the antenna (30, 40) are connected together by a first pair of contacts (33, 43, 51, 55) across which an antenna signal can be transmitted. In addition, the communication unit (50,58) is equipped with a second pair of contacts (35, 52) across which ground potential can be provided by the communication unit (50, 58) to the antenna (30, 40) or to an antenna cable shield. The second pair of contacts (35, 52) are at a distance from the first pair of contacts (33, 43, 51, 55). The contacts may comprise pins, plugs, sockets or any other suitable contacts. The communication unit enables a durable and reliable antenna solution to be implemented, e.g., within a PCM/CIA data card (50, 58).
