A system for exhaust gas routing and aftertreatment in a motor vehicle includes a first exhaust gas duct element, which has an inlet opening and an outlet opening, and a second exhaust gas duct element, which has a transfer pipe having a longitudinal axis and having a sleeve surface and a first closed end. An intake opening is provided in the sleeve surface adjacent to the closed end. The transfer pipe projects into the outlet opening and is accommodated in the first exhaust gas duct element by its closed end and the intake opening, so that exhaust gas flowing in through the inlet opening in a first direction can flow through the intake opening and into the transfer pipe and flow&#x2014;viewed in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the transfer pipe&#x2014;in the transfer pipe through the outlet opening out of the first exhaust gas duct element. The system also includes an injector unit fixed to the first exhaust gas duct element for introducing a reducing agent into an exhaust gas flow flowing through the first and the second exhaust gas duct element.

A cell culture device allows co-cultivation on both sides of a membrane and has an outer tubular body with upper end having an opening and lower end closed by the membrane, an inner surface and an outer surface, which can be colonized with biological material, a complementary tubular body whose inner diameter fits onto the outer diameter of the lower end and a hanger component with upper end and a lower end. A flange extends from the upper end and the outer diameter component fits the inner diameter of the outer tubular body. The outer tubular body in a first step is connected to the complementary tubular body to form a standing insert for a first cell cultivation, and in a second step wherein the outer tubular body is disengaged from the complementary tubular body and is attached to the hanger component for a second cell cultivation.

In an internal combustion engine having a coolant circuit which comprises a first coolant line for the cylinder block and a second coolant line for the cylinder head of the engine, with the cylinder head having at least one inlet valve and at least one outlet valve per cylinder, an additional coolant duct provided in the cylinder head in close proximity to the valves is connected to the second coolant line for directly supplying coolant to the area of the cylinder outlet valves.

In a method for controlling an inlet valve of an internal combustion engine having at least one cylinder with at least a first inlet valve and a second inlet valve, wherein the closing time of the first inlet valve is adjustable and the first inlet valve is so controlled that, at a first engine speed, the first inlet valve is closed before the closing of the second inlet valve and, at a second engine speed which is higher than the first engine speed, the first inlet valve is closed after the closing time of the second inlet valve.

A camshaft adjuster for an internal combustion engine having hydraulic medium guides. The adjuster can include a setting unit that can be controlled by a control unit using these guides in the adjuster, wherein the setting unit is for adjusting an angle of a camshaft. This setting unit has an inner body coupled to the camshaft so as to rotate with it, and an outer body that is mounted to rotate relative to the camshaft via a drive connection which runs from a crankshaft to the camshaft. The camshaft has at least one insert part permanently inserted camshaft wherein these two components together form at least one hydraulic medium guide at least in partial regions over its axial length. This design is to create a camshaft adjuster which is in interaction with a camshaft having an insert part so that there is a simple and reliable supply of hydraulic medium to the camshaft adjuster and in particular to its control device.

A device for lubricating a machine comprises at least one pump or arranged in the oil circuit as well as a first oil tank for keeping a reserve of a first oil and a second oil tank for keeping a reserve of a second oil and temporarily storing an oil mixture. Oil lines are also provided between the oil tanks and the lubricating points. Furthermore, there is an oil sump for collecting the oil or oil mixture downstream of the lubricating points. Oil lines are provided between the oil sump and the two oil tanks. At least one first switching device is arranged in the oil lines, for opening or blocking the oil lines. Between the second oil tank and the first oil tank there is an oil line, which can be controlled by a second switching device. This device has the effect of improving the lubrication and extending the oil intervals.
