An adaptive operating device () has at least one operating area () with at least one manually operable operating element (). At least one of the operating elements () is arranged on an operating module () formed as a cylinder () rotatably mounted in the operating area (). The operating device () further includes a configuration device () which, by changing the rotational position of the operating module () and/or changing the functionality of the operating element (), configures the at least one operating element () in such a way that a movement of the operating element () corresponds to an identical movement of an item of work equipment () which is attached when in use.

Adaptive operating device

An adaptive operating device () for agricultural tractors includes two or more operating regions (), each of which includes at least one manually operable operating element (). The operating device () includes a detecting device () to detect the type of working apparatus () coupled to the tractor during use, a configuration device () cooperating with the detecting device () for configuring the functionality of an operating element () or operating region () for the type of coupled-on working apparatus (), and at least one indicating element () of indicating a configuration of an operating region (). Depending on the configuration, at least one operating element () can be changed with regard to its spatial position or can be configured with regard to direction or extent of movement.
