A rod bed assembly () has a holder () made of a composite material according to a continuous primary molding method, a rod bed () made of a polymer according to a continuous primary molding method, and a doctor rod () rotatably supported in a bearing recess () on the front side of the rod bed. The holder () is formed such that the rod bed () and the doctor rod () are insertable into and removable from a socket provided in the holder in the radial direction of the doctor rod (). The rod bed () has closed cavities for saving material.

Rod-bed assembly

A cradle for a film, coating, or sealing rod has a profile () that includes a base part (), a rod groove (), and a body part () between them. The rod groove () is arranged to receive the rod () between lips () edging the rod groove (). The circumference lying against the rod () is formed at least partly of a slider piece (), which is an insert-molded part of the profile (), and which is of a material other than the material of the base part () and the body part ().
