A composite profile comprising a carrier profile made of a light metal material and a profiled strip which is made of a harder material and covers the top surface of the carrier profile. An insertable bar is added to the profiled strip on each longitudinal side in a position parallel to the direction thereof and is inserted into a lateral slot embodied therein. The insertable bar is firmly connected to the profiled strip thereof by a weld seam.

A composite profile comprising: (1) an extruded metal alloy carrier profile comprising a rail head having a longitudinal axis B, the rail head comprises a surface and two longitudinal edges extending parallel to the longitudinal axis B and (2) a metal channel shaped profile strip comprising a base portion spanning the surface of the rail head and parallel side legs which lie on the longitudinal edges of the head rail, an insert rod is provided on the parallel side legs which lie on the longitudinal edges of the head rail and engage in lateral slots provided in the two longitudinal edges of the rail head, wherein the profile strip is attached to the carrier profile under mechanical pretension by way of a weld scan.

A composite profile comprising an extruded aluminum alloy carrier profile comprising a rail head having a longitudinal axis B, the rail head comprises a surface and two longitudinal edges extending parallel to the longitudinal axis B and a metal channel shaped profile strip comprising a base portion spanning the surface of the rail head and parallel side legs which lie on the longitudinal edges of the head rail, an insert rod is provided on the parallel side legs which lie on the longitudinal edges of the head rail and engage in lateral slots provided in the two longitudinal edges of the rail head, wherein the profile strip is attached to the carrier profile under mechanical pretension by way of a weld seam which contacts the rail head of the extruded aluminum alloy carrier profile.

Composite profile and method for manufacturing the composite profile

A short circuiting device for an electric railway system having a conductor rail for supplying electric power to drive the vehicles. The function of the device is to provide a short circuit between a track rail and the conductor rail. The short circuiting device contains a first contact element providing a face to make contact with the track rail and a contact arm that is coupled to the contact element via a jointed connection and has a contact face for making contact with the conductor rail. The jointed connection is a multi-hinged connecting facility containing two levers which are joined to each other via a knee-type joint and joined via the respective first and second connection hinges to the contact element and the contact arm. One of the levers is in the form of a closing lever and the shape and arrangement of the levers and hinged joints is such that by executing a rotational movement with the closing lever, and via this, movement of the knee-type joint about the axis of the connection hinge related to the closing lever, the contact element and the contact arm can be brought together thus making electrical contact.
