There is provided a method for a user equipment. UE, of a wireless communication network, the method comprising: obtaining a first measurement data associated with a determined position of the UE and second measurement data, the first and second measurement data obtained by performing measurements by the UE; obtaining a difference value indicative of a difference between at least one measurement value of the first measurement data and at least one measurement value of the second measurement data; comparing the difference value with at least one repositioning threshold value provided by the wireless communication network to the UE; and if the difference value exceeds the at least one repositioning threshold value, triggering a transmission of a repositioning request to a network node of the wireless communication network.

Enhancing positioning efficiency

According to various examples, there is provided a User Equipment, UE, comprising means for: receiving an indication of a type of parameter to be reported by the UE, wherein the type of parameter characterises one or more receive, Rx, of the UE via which one or more Reference Signals, RSs, are received; determining one or more values of the indicated type of parameter for at least one of the one or more RSs received by at least one of the one or more Rx beams of the UE; and sending information indicative of the determined one or more values of the indicated type of parameter for the at least one of the one or more RSs received by the at least one of the one or more Rx beams of the UE.

Beam management

A method is provided where handover information about one or more target beams of a target cell is provided. The beam quality of those target beams is determined along with beam quality of one or more other beams of the target cell. Dedicated uplink resources associated with the target beams and shared uplink resources are associated with the other beams. It is determined based on the beam quality which of the target and other beams is to be used to initiate a connection to the target cell.

Certain embodiments may provide enhancements related to physical layer design for multiple input multiple output and/or enhancements for a beam indication framework for scenarios with multiple transmission reception points and user equipment equipped with multiple antenna panels. A network node may transmit, and a user equipment may obtain, information indicating that one or more activated transmission configuration indictor states are associated with a set of beam groups.

For example, a method can include a user equipment receiving a first configuration of layer one measurement and reporting together with a second configuration for channel state information measurement and reporting for a candidate cell. The method can further include performing channel state information measurements according to the second configuration. Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose devices, methods and apparatuses of coherent joint transmission. A terminal device may receive a QCL source configuration from a network device. The QCL source configuration may indicate at least two transmission configuration indication (TCI) states that indicate reference signals from valid QCL sources for a coherent joint transmission (CJT) of tracking reference signals (TRSs). The terminal device may perform a QCL property estimation on received TRSs based on the QCL source configuration.
