Monodirectional antennas may be arranged to radiate in a near omni-directional pattern. By incorporating switches into the antenna arrangement, the antennas can be controlled to selectively radiate from a common radiofrequency feed. These arrangements may be packaged in a housing, which may aid both in antenna performance and in antenna installation. According to another aspect of the disclosure, housings may include a plurality of antennas, and one or more procedures may be implemented to determine a codebook to radiate from the circular arrangement according to various beam constrains.

Antenna units, radiation and beam shape of antenna units, and methods thereof

A radar device may include a digital to analog converter (DAC) stage. The DAC stage may generate a plurality of analog signals. The DAC stage may generate a different analog signal for each transmitter chain of a plurality of transmitter chains. Each analog signal of the plurality of analog signals may represent a single digital signal. Each transmitter chain of the plurality of transmitter chains may include a transmit chain portion and switched analog beamforming network (BFN). The transmit chain portion may generate a plurality of intermediate analog signals representative of the corresponding analog signal. The switched analog BFN may generate a plurality of analog transmit signals for an intermediate analog signal of the plurality of intermediate analog signals. The plurality of analog transmit signals may include a beam formed in accordance with a state of the switched analog BFN.

Techniques and mechanisms for regulating a temperature of a resonator structure. In an embodiment, a thermoelectric cooler (TEC) is thermally coupled to a resonator which is proximate thereto. The resonator supports operation with an oscillator circuit, wherein a resonance characteristic of the resonator contributes to oscillations of a master clock signal, or other oscillatory signal, which is provided with the oscillator circuit. The TEC provides Peltier functionality to selectively perform either one of heating or cooling the resonator. In another embodiment, the TEC is configured to conduct heat which is transferred via a path between the TEC and the resonator, wherein the path omits any circuitry which is to perform operations which are synchronized based on the oscillatory signal.

Device, system, and method to regulate temperature of a resonator structure

An electric circuit includes a compensation circuit. The compensation circuit includes at least one directional coupler with an adjustable coupling factor. The compensation circuit is coupled between a first signal path and a second signal path of the electric circuit via the at least one directional coupler. Furthermore, the electric circuit includes a detector circuit coupled at least to the second signal path. The detector circuit is configured to detect an interfering signal portion of a signal of the first signal path in the second signal path. Furthermore, the electric circuit includes a control circuit. The control circuit is configured to adjust a transfer characteristic of the compensation circuit based on the detected interfering signal portion. Adjusting the transfer characteristic includes adjusting the coupling factor of the at least one directional coupler.

Apparatuses and methods for compensating interfering signals in electric circuits

A circulator system for use in a simultaneous transmit and receive system includes a transmitter port connected to a first port of a circulator component by a phase shifter and possibly a pre-conditioning impedance, an antenna port connected to a second port of the circulator component by a pre-conditioning impedance, and a receiver port connected to a third port of the circulator component by a phase shifter and a pre-conditioning impedance. A loop with an impedance is connected between the transmitter port and the receiver port. A double loop circulator system includes further phase shifters and impedances at the first and third ports of the circulator component and a second loop with an impedance connected signal paths for the transmitter and receiver ports, being connected between the phase shifters in the signal paths. High isolation between the transmitter and receiver ports is provided.
