A butterfly valve () is provided according to the invention. The butterfly valve () includes a valve body () including a valve bore () passing through the valve body () and a shaft bore (), a valve shaft () located in the shaft bore () and extending through the valve bore (), a thermal conductor ring () fitted over an end of the valve shaft (), and at least one compression ring () mounted to the thermal conductor ring () and located within the shaft bore (). The at least one compression ring () fits partially into and extends partially out of a corresponding at least one ring groove () in the thermal conductor ring (), with the at least one compression ring () substantially sealing the thermal conductor ring () to an actuator-side shaft bore (A).

Butterfly valve

A high-temperature butterfly valve () is provided. The high-temperature butterfly valve () includes a valve assembly (), a valve actuator () configured to couple to the valve assembly (), with the valve actuator () including an actuator shaft () configured to couple to a valve shaft () of the valve assembly (), and a fluid cooling system () configured to flow a cooling fluid through at least a portion of the valve actuator ().

High temperature butterfly valve

A butterfly valve () is provided. The butterfly valve () includes a valve body () including a valve bore () passing through the valve body (), with the valve bore () including an upstream valve bore portion (U) and a downstream valve bore portion (D), a shaft bore (), a valve shaft () located in the shaft bore () and extending substantially across the valve bore (), and a valve flap () affixed to the valve shaft () and configured to be rotated by the valve shaft (). The valve flap () is configured to rotate between a closed orientation blocking the valve bore () and an open orientation. The valve flap () is affixed on an upstream valve bore portion side of the valve shaft (), wherein incoming fluid presses the valve flap () against the valve shaft ().
