The invention relates to a method for relaying, by an in-vehicle emergency system, a private emergency point of the vehicle to a public emergency point that is handling an emergency of the vehicle in which the in-vehicle emergency system is incorporated, the public emergency point depending on the location of the emergency. The method comprises the steps of receiving a message from a call control node of a mobile communications network in response to an emergency call initiated by the in-vehicle emergency system, the message containing contact information of the public emergency point, and transmitting the received contact information of the public emergency point to the private emergency point.

Relaying a private emergency point to a public emergency point

A network node (), referred to as answering point (), performs a method including a triggering procedure (s) for triggering the transmission, towards a mobile station (), of an instruction message () including an instruction to start a new emergency communication towards the answering point (). The triggering procedure (s) includes sending (s), towards the mobile station (), a trigger message (). The mobile station () performs a method including a receiving procedure (s) and a starting procedure (s). The receiving procedure (s) includes receiving the instruction message () including the instruction to start a new emergency communication towards the answering point (), and the starting procedure (s) includes starting a new emergency communication towards the answering point (). This enables to re-establish an emergency communication between the answering point () and the mobile station (). The invention also relates to network nodes, mobile stations and computer programs.
