An engine hood drive for an engine hood system of a motor vehicle includes a drive unit for delivering a torque at a predetermined adjusting angle between a passive position and an active position. A drive lever is connected in a torque-transmitting manner to the drive unit for pivoting between the passive position and the active position and which has an actuating end. A driving slot has a guide receiver for the actuating end of the drive lever. The driving slot is pivotable about a flap hinge for an engine hood at a predetermined flap angle between a closed position and an open position. The driving slot is transferrable in the direction of the open position as a result of a pivoting movement of the drive lever from the direction of the passive position in the direction of the active position.

A vehicle component () has a lid () for closing a trunk (). The lid () has an air duct opening () for letting in and/or letting out an air flow to or from an air duct (). The air duct opening () has a visual screen installation () with two visual screen elements () formed with passage openings (). The passage openings () are disposed to be mutually offset so that a view into the air duct opening () is restricted.

Vehicle component

A cover () of a folding-top compartment in a cabriolet vehicle can be pivoted by way of links () between a position in which the cover () covers the folding-top compartment and a position in which the cover () does not cover the folding-top compartment. The cover () has, at a distance from its pivoting connection, at least one first guide element (), and on the body, there is provided at least one second guide element (). During the transfer of the cover () into its closed position, the two guide elements () interact, and guide the cover (), as far as the closed position.

A hinge apparatus () for a front hood () of a motor vehicle has an integrated pedestrian protection that includes a hood-side fastening arrangement () articulated to a body-side fastening arrangement () via a link arrangement () that has a stop link (). The hood-side fastening arrangement () has a hinge upper part () and a coupling (), and the body-side fastening arrangement () has a lock () that acts on the coupling () to lock the hood () in a normal state and to unlock it by a pyrotechnical actuator () that acts on the lock () and the stop link (). The pyrotechnical actuator () has a piston rod () and an ignition in a housing (). A free end () of the piston rod () is articulated on the lock (), and an opposite end () of the housing () is articulated on the stop link ().

A wind deflector () for a roof opening of a motor vehicle has a receptacle () and a first deployable segment (). A four-bar linkage connection is configured by two links () between the first deployable segment () and the receptacle (). Each link () is connected pivotally at one of its end regions () to the first segment () and at the receptacle (). A second segment () is arranged substantially parallel to the first segment () and is connected pivotally to the two links () in each case in a central region () of the links ().

Wind deflector

A double buttress folding top has rear-side tensioning bows with two rearwardly directed U-shaped sections that are connected to each other via a central bow section. The tensioning bows tension the folding top cloth in the region of the buttresses. The folding top cloth is fastened to the tensioning bow. The tensioning bow bears from below against a folding top compartment cover and against edges of lateral body cutouts. The folding top compartment cover therefore has two lateral cutouts which, in the open position of the folding top, are closed by lateral flaps. The tensioning bow is of U-shaped design and, above a rear window, has a bow web to which the rear window is coupled in a hinged or pivotable manner.

Folding top

A folding-top drive has a motor () that transmits forces to a first gear () and then to a folding-top linkage via a second gear (). The first gear () and a guide () are pivoted to a housing () and a spring () acts on the guide (). The first gear is guided on the guide () so that the guide () can be moved automatically with the first gear () counter to the force of the spring () from a first position where the gears () engage to a second position where the gears () are disengaged if a force on the first gear exceeds a defined limit. Additionally, the spring () can move the guide () automatically with the first gear () from the second position to the first position if the force on the first gear falls below the defined limit.

Folding-top drive

An anchoring configuration for a rear end section of a top cloth. The anchoring configuration has a fastening strip, which can be connected by a first strip section to the top cloth and by a second strip section releasably to a body element of a convertible. The fastening strip is of a flexible construction at least in some regions, and has a water collecting profile which runs in a transverse direction of the convertible and is disposed below the rear end section of the top cloth. In order to simplify the anchoring configuration, the first strip section of the fastening strip is configured as the water collecting profile.

A flap plate is provided on a draft deflector which can be swung out in a forward area of a vehicle roof opening. For operating the flap plate from an inoperative position into an operative position, an adjusting device is provided in the case of which a traction cable controlling the flap plate can be brought into a dead center position in which the drive of the traction cable is relieved.

An air guiding device for a vehicle sliding roof is arranged on a draft deflector and comprises essentially a holding section as well as an adjoining wing which protrudes to the outside in an operative position and is bent in an inoperative position. The holding section of the air guiding element is clampingly held in a transverse slot of the draft deflector.
