Disclosed is an earpiece for a hearing device. The earpiece is configured for insertion into at least a part of an ear canal of a user's ear and comprises an earmold and a receiver module, wherein the receiver module is configured to be detachably introduced into an inner cavity of the earmold and comprises a receiver housing with an outer surface and a receiver, which receiver housing is configured for detachable mating with an adapter having an external and an internal surface. A hearing device comprises a receiver module for insertion into an ear canal of a user of the hearing device. The hearing device comprises a signal processor, and a controller. The receiver module comprises an output transducer, a vent having a vent valve device configured to open and close the vent. The controller is configured to electrically manipulate the vent valve device to be in a first position or in a second position based on a first signal received from the signal processor whereby the vent valve device is configured to move between the first position and the second position in response thereto. When the vent valve device enters/arrives in the first position a first sound is produced. When the vent valve device enters/arrives in the second position a second sound is produced. The first sound and/or the second sound are detectable by one or more input transducers.

The earpiece comprises an earpiece housing having a distal end, a proximal end, and an outer surface connecting the distal end to the proximal end. The earpiece housing having a sound outlet at the proximal end and a microphone inlet. The earpiece comprises a receiver for providing an audio output signal to an ear canal when the earpiece is inserted into the ear canal. The receiver has a receiver axis being a longitudinal center axis. The earpiece comprises a microphone for provision of a first microphone input signal. The microphone comprises a microphone membrane, wherein the microphone has a microphone axis forming a normal to the microphone membrane. The receiver axis and the microphone axis form a first angle, wherein the first angle is larger than 5 degrees.

A hearing device and related methods are disclosed. The hearing device comprises a housing comprising a wall, a microphone inlet comprising a through-going opening, a microphone arranged within the housing for receiving audio via the microphone inlet, a first filter device comprising a first filter material, the first filter device being arranged at the microphone, and a second filter device substantially having the shape of a torus or a hollow cylinder and comprising a second filter material, the second filter device being arranged at the wall, wherein the first filter device is arranged between the microphone and the second filter device, and wherein the through-going opening comprises an outer recess in an outer surface of the wall, wherein the second filter device is arranged in the outer recess.
