Radial impulse engine, pump, and compressor systems are disclosed herein. In one embodiment of the invention, a radial impulse engine includes first and second movable V-members operably disposed between first and second end wall portions. The first V-member can have a first wall portion with a first distal edge portion and a second wall portion with a first cylindrical surface. The second V-member can have a third wall portion with a second distal edge portion and a fourth wall portion with a second cylindrical surface. In this embodiment, the first distal edge portion of the first wall portion can be configured to slide across the second cylindrical surface of the fourth wall portion, and the second distal edge portion of the third wall portion can be configured to slide across the first cylindrical surface of the second wall portion, when the first V-member pivots about a first pivot axis and the second V-member pivots about a second pivot axis.

Radial impulse engine, pump, and compressor systems, and associated methods of operation

Radial impulse engine, pump, and compressor systems are disclosed herein. In one embodiment of the invention, an engine includes a first end wall portion spaced apart from a second end wall portion to at least partially define a combustion chamber therebetween. In this embodiment, the engine further includes a plurality of movable wall portions disposed between the first and second end wall portions. Each movable wall portion includes a cylindrical surface extending at least partially between a distal edge portion and a pivot axis. Upon ignition in the combustion chamber, the distal edge portion of each movable wall portion slides across the cylindrical surface of the adjacent movable wall portion as the movable wall portions pivot outwardly in unison about their respective pivot axes.

A child carrier comprised of a seat-mounting frame and a lower wheel frame assembly depending downwardly from the mounting frame, the wheel frame assembly including front and rear wheels supported for downward extension from the wheel frame assembly, and a seat portion disposed on the seat mounting frame. A handle has side frame portions extending from opposite sides of the seat-mounting frame terminating in a hand-engaging, angled end extending rearwardly from the side frames with the handle member pivoted to the seat mounting frame for pivotal movement of the handle about a horizontal axis from a first position in which the handle extends rearwardly from the seat mounting frame when used as a stroller to a position in which the handle is directed downwardly from its pivotal connection to the seat mounting frame such that the angled end thereof is disposed beneath the wheels in order to support the carrier on a car seat when used as a car seat carrier.

Multi-function child carrier

A pedal driven vehicle such as a bicycle which employs oscillating levers instead of crank type pedals, and endless chain to which the two pedal levers are respectively connected, one to each run of the chain by pull and push rods to impart an oscillatory movement to said chain and in which the oscillating chain is connected to drive two shafts in opposite directions at any one time and means including one way drives connecting said shafts respectively to the drive wheel for propelling said vehicle. The vehicle also has means for simultaneously moving the connections between said pull and push rods and the oscillating levers respectively along the lengths of said levers in the same direction so as to change the effective leverage of said levers and to thus change the driving ratio imparted to the propelling wheel by the drive mechanism.
