The present invention relates to an E/E component comprising electrical conductors Land L, which are connected via a thermoplastic material M. The distances between the electrical conductors Land Lare dependent on the operating voltage of the E/E component. The thermoplastic material comprising polycarbonate, selected rubber-modified graft polymer and phosphorus-containing flame retardant exhibits a high tracking resistance and allows small distances and hence a small design overall.

The invention relates to a filler-containing multi-layer structure on the basis of a polycarbonate composition, having a metal layer as a reflective layer and having a balanced property profile of CLTE, CLTE ratio, heat conductivity and lustre. This multi-layer structure can be used, inter alia, for reflectors or as a mirror element in head-up displays. Expanded graphite and burned silicon dioxide are contained as fillers. In the composition provided according to the invention, there is no need for an additional heat sink when implementing the component.

Multi-layer structure suitable for use as a reflector

The present invention relates to a thermoplastic composition comprising at least one aromatic polycarbonate, talc, at least one anhydride-modified alpha-olefin polymer, at least one organic flame retardant selected from: fluoropolymer-containing anti-drip agents, fluorinated sulfonic acid salts, organic phosphoric acid esters, phosphazenes or mixtures of at least two of the abovementioned agents and barium sulfate. The invention further relates to a production process for such a composition and to a molded article producible from this composition. The composition contains barium sulfate in an amount of ≥3% by weight based on the total weight of the composition. ≥5% by weight is preferred.

The present invention relates to a thermoplastic composition, comprising: A) aromatic polycarbonate and B) Ba) reinforcing fibers and/or Bb) spherical particles of oxides of metals or metalloids of the 3rd main group, 4th main group and/or 4th transition group. The composition further comprises: C) PMMI copolymer and D) phosphite stabilizer and/or phosphine stabilizer, wherein, furthermore, the proportion of B) is &#x2265;35% by weight to &#x2264;40% by weight and the proportion of C) is &#x3e;0.1% by weight in each case based on the total weight of the composition. The invention further relates to a layered arrangement comprising a substrate layer and a reflection layer distinct from the substrate layer and at least partially covering the substrate layer, wherein the reflection layer at least partially reflects light in the wavelength range from 380 nm to 750 nm, an illumination apparatus comprising a light source and a reflector, wherein the reflector is arranged such that at least a portion of the light transmitted by the light source is reflected by the reflector, and to a process for producing a molded article.

Filled polycarbonate composition having low thermal expansion

The invention relates to the use of PMMI copolymers for reducing the decrease in molecular weight of the polymer induced by addition of talc in compositions based on aromatic polycarbonate. At the same time, the mechanical, optical and rheological properties of the thermoplastic composition, in spite of the addition of the PMMI copolymer, remain good and are in some cases even improved.

Talc-filled polycarbonate compositions

The invention relates to the use of PMMI copolymers for reducing the molecular weight degradation of the polymer induced by oxides such as titanium dioxide or silicon dioxide in compositions based on aromatic polycarbonate. The mechanical, optical and rheological properties of the thermoplastic composition remain good and are in some cases even improved despite the addition of the PMMI copolymer.
