A clamping and holding apparatus for an article () fixed under preload by at least one clamping means (), preferably for a container of variable volume, the clamping and holding apparatus having a clamping frame or carrier () assigned to the article (), and also a clamping device (), assigned to the clamping frame or carrier (), for the clamping means (), the clamping frame or carrier () being provided with guide or directing devices () for the clamping means () and being able to be connected by said clamping means to the article so as to provide a preload force, the clamping means () being composed of at least one endless belt composed of elastomer material which wraps around the article and at least parts of the clamping frame or carrier () and the wraparound length of which is variable by means of the clamping device ().

Clamping and holding apparatus

A belt, preferably for use in a device for rotor blade adjustment on a wind turbine, includes a base body made of polymeric material and at least one strength member made of metallic material, which is embedded in the base body and running in the longitudinal direction. The belt has a first surface and a second surface situated opposite the first surface, in which at least the first surface has a reinforcing fabric. The belt has at least one sacrificial anode made of a metallic material, in which the metallic material is less noble than the metallic material of the strength member.

A method for monitoring a drive belt is disclosed. A drive pulley driving by a drive motor and having a drive belt is provided. First and second markings are provided on the belt. The markings are detected. A correlation is determined and a signal is generated if a reference value is exceeded.

Method for monitoring a belt drive

The invention relates to a drive belt for a traction mechanism drive, having a radially externally arranged top layer () composed of a fiber-containing elastomer or of an elastomer comprising a fiber mesh, having a radially centrally arranged tension member layer () composed of a wound tension strand or a plurality of circumferentially oriented tension strands, and a radially internally arranged substructure () composed of an elastomer, wherein at least one wedge-shaped rib is integrally formed in the substructure (), a coating layer () composed of a circumferentially open fiber mesh being applied to the outer surfaces of said wedge-shaped rib. In order to prevent an abrupt change in the friction coefficient at the force-transmitting flanks of the ribs, provision is made for the circumferential ends () of the coating layer () and a parting joint (), which is filled by the elastomer of the substructure (), between said circumferential ends () of the coating layer () to be covered with a transverse strip () composed of a vulcanizable material, wherein said vulcanizable material has a reduced friction coefficient in relation to the elastomer of the substructure ().
