A vibratory conveyor for use in an industrial processing system. The vibratory conveyors include mounting plates for coupling vibratory motors of the conveyor. The mounting plates extend into tubular sidewalls of the base frame. A force-balancing member, such as a cross-member, extends between the mounting plates. The mounting plates may be a solid plate of material, such as steel.

Stub shaft conveyor pulleys that may be used as a tail pulley and/or head pulley in a belt conveyor system are disclosed. The conveyor pulley includes first and second stub shaft assemblies connected to a center tube. Each stub shaft assembly includes an inner bearing and an outer bearing. In some embodiments, the outer bearing has a diameter larger than the inner bearing. Alternatively or in addition, the inner bearing may be within the center tube and the outer bearing may be exterior to the center tube.

A lagging for a belt conveyor pulley comprises a continuous and homogeneous rubber volume and a number of small plate-like ceramic lagging elements. The ceramic elements may be of rectangular, square, oval or circular shape in various patterns with and without grooving. The lagging is hot vulcanization bonded to the periphery of a pulley in a manner without seams or other paths for liquid or debris ingress to pulley rubber bond.

A weighing apparatus adapted for use in an existing conveyor, and a method for attaching a weighing apparatus to an existing conveyor without removing components or modifying the conveyor. The apparatus comprises a roller, a load cell, a vertical support and a cross member. The cross member is secured to adjacent existing idlers or alternatively to the frame supporting the existing conveyor via non-invasive means that do not require the existing conveyor or components to be removed or modified by cutting, drilling or welding. The roller is capable of precise adjustment both horizontally and vertically relative to the conveyor to ensure levelness and accuracy without the use of tools.

A greasing system for conveyor belt rollers uses a depression formed in a shaft about which the roller rotates to permit grease to flow from a front side to a backside of a roller bearing. In this way grease can be applied to the bearing while the conveyor is operating. The grease then flows from the backside of the bearing, through the bearing and out an outlet on the front side of the bearing making it easy to determine when the bearing has been fully greased.

Apparatus for greasing rollers of conveyor belt systems

A method of constructing a stub shaft for conveyor pulleys, comprising forming an annular exterior periphery on an inward portion of a shaft member. Forming an annular ring with a complimentary interior peripheral surface having substantially the same dimensions as at least a portion of the annular exterior periphery of the shaft. Placing the annular ring over the shaft wherein the formed interior peripheral surface of the annular ring is in abutment with the formed annular exterior periphery of the shaft. Machining the inner side of the annular ring to be complementary to the outer side of the hub. Machining the exterior periphery of the inward portion of the shaft to a reduced diameter thereby forming an inwardly facing shoulder thereon flush with the machined inner side of the annular ring, and wherein the reduced diameter is substantially the same diameter as the opening in the hub. Bolting the annular ring to the hub, thereby preventing relative movement between the main shaft, the annular ring and the hub.
