A feedback actuator for a steering device of a motor vehicle may include a steering shaft that is mounted so as to be rotatable about a longitudinal axis extending in a longitudinal direction and that, by way of a belt drive, is coupled to a motor shaft of an electric motor so as to be able to be rotatably driven. The belt drive may have at least one pair of belt pulleys having two belt pulleys that are wrapped by a belt. One of the belt pulleys may be operatively connected to the motor shaft and one may be operatively connected to the steering shaft. The two belt pulleys of the pair of belt pulleys may be disposed so as to be mutually coaxial or at a mutual angle.

Feedback actuator for a steering device of a motor vehicle and steering column for a motor vehicle

The present disclosure relates to a steering column, comprising: a first sleeve, a second sleeve and a gap elimination means. The first sleeve is received in the second sleeve in a telescopic way in a longitudinal direction. The gap elimination means includes an elastic pretensioning element and a wedge-shaped body, the wedge-shaped body having a first wedge-shaped surface and a second mating surface. The gap elimination means further comprises an intermediate element, the intermediate element having a third wedge-shaped surface which abuts the first wedge-shaped surface and has a shape fitted to the shape of the first wedge-shaped surface. The pretensioning element applies a pressing force to the wedge-shaped body via the intermediate element. The steering column according to the present disclosure is capable of stably maintaining a gapless state between the first sleeve and second sleeve, thus preventing noise.

Steering column

A steering column for a motor vehicle may include a casing unit in which a steering spindle is mounted rotatably about a longitudinal axis that extends in a longitudinal direction. The casing unit has at least two casing tubes that have a polygonal cross section and are guided such that they can be adjusted relative to one another in the longitudinal direction. Rolling bodies that have a rolling body radius are arranged between the casing tubes such that the rolling bodies can roll in the longitudinal direction in at least three raceways that are distributed circumferentially. To increase rigidity and improve compactness, center points of the rolling bodies are at a radial spacing that is less than or equal to the rolling body radius from an envelope circle that circumscribes the casing tube, on which the rolling bodies can roll on the outside.

Steering column for a motor vehicle

The disclosure includes a Steering column for a motor vehicle including at least two structural elements configured to be adjusted relative to each other and a linear adjustment drive configured to be adjusted in an adjustment direction in a motorised manner along an adjustment axis (S) configured to engage one of the at least two structural elements, and wherein an energy absorption device comprising an energy absorption element is arranged between the linear adjustment drive and at least one of the at least two structural elements. The energy absorption element includes an inner portion coaxial relative to the adjustment axis (S) and connected by an at least partially coaxially extending shaping portion in a sleeve-like manner to an outer portion of the energy absorption element which is arranged coaxially at the outer side thereof.

Steering system for a motor vehicle

A steering column for a motor vehicle may include a casing unit in which a steering spindle is mounted such that the steering spindle is rotatable about a longitudinal axis that extends in a longitudinal direction. The casing unit has at least two telescopically guided casing tubes that are adjustable relative to one another in the longitudinal direction, an intermediate element that is movable in the longitudinal direction and is arranged between the casing tubes, and a positioning device for positioning the intermediate element in the longitudinal direction relative to the casing tubes. The positioning device may have elongate guide tracks that are arranged on the casing tubes and the intermediate element and interact with one another such that they position the casing tubes and the intermediate element relative to one another in a defined manner.

A steering column for a steer-by-wire steering system may include a steering shaft that can be connected to a steering wheel. The steering shaft is rotatably mounted about a longitudinal axis in a casing unit. A feedback actuator may be operatively coupled to the steering shaft. The casing unit may have a second length in a direction of the longitudinal axis, and the steering shaft may project into the casing unit by a first length. Consequently, installation space volume and weight are saved, particularly where the first length is less than the second length. In some cases, the first length is less than or equal to half of the second length.

Steering column and steer-by-wire steering system

An adjusting drive for a motor-adjustable steering column may include an outer threaded spindle that has an external thread that engages with a spindle nut and that has an internal thread that is engaged by an inner threaded spindle. The spindle nut, the outer threaded spindle, and the inner threaded spindle can be driven in rotation relative to one another about an axis by a motor-type drive unit. The adjusting drive may also include a blocking device that is switchable between a first position and a second position. In the first position the outer threaded spindle is locked together with the spindle nut for conjoint rotation. In the second position the outer threaded spindle is locked together with the inner threaded spindle for conjoint rotation.

An adjustment drive for a steering column for a motor vehicle may include a housing that is able to be connected to the steering column, in which a gear wheel that is able to be rotatingly driven by a motor is mounted in a bearing assembly so as to be rotatable about a spindle axis, and on which a threaded spindle that engages in a spindle nut is axially supported in a direction of the spindle axis. To enable less complexity in manufacturing and assembling, an energy absorbing installation is disposed between the threaded spindle and the housing. When repositioning the threaded spindle relative to the housing in the direction of the spindle axis, the energy absorbing installation is configured to absorb kinetic energy.

Adjustment drive for a steering column, and steering column for a motor vehicle

A steering column may include a casing unit in which a steering spindle is rotatably mounted about a longitudinal axis and which has at least three telescopically guided casing tubes that are mutually adjustable in an axial direction. One of the tubes is an external casing tube in which an intermediate casing tube is received, an internal casing tube being received in the intermediate casing tube. A locking bolt installation can releasably lock at least two of the casing tubes to one another in the direction of the longitudinal axis. The locking bolt installation can switch between an internal blocking position and an external blocking position. The intermediate casing tube in the internal blocking position is locked to the internal casing tube. The intermediate casing tube in the external locking position is locked to the external casing tube.

A steering column for a motor vehicle, comprising a casing unit, in which a steering spindle is mounted rotatably about a longitudinal axis and which has at least two casing tubes which are guided adjustably relative to one another by an adjustment distance in the direction of the longitudinal axis. In order to permit easier adjustment, the casing tubes can be brought along the adjustment distance relative to one another into at least one comfort region and at least one transition region, wherein a transition adjustment force for the relative adjustment of the casing tubes in the transition region is smaller than a comfort adjustment force for the relative adjustment of the casing tubes in the comfort region.

A steering column is disclosed for a motor vehicle, including an actuating unit, in which a steering spindle is rotatably mounted about a longitudinal axis. The actuating unit includes a casing unit which has at least three casing tubes which are arranged so as to be axially telescopable relative to one another. One of the casing tubes forms an outer casing tube in which at least one intermediate casing tube, in which an inner casing tube is accommodated, is accommodated. Rolling bodies are arranged between the casing tubes such that they are able to roll in the axial direction. First rolling bodies are arranged between the outer casing tube and the intermediate casing tube, and second rolling bodies are arranged between the intermediate casing tube and the inner casing tube, the first rolling bodies being arranged offset in the circumferential direction relative to the second rolling bodies.

A motor vehicle steering system includes a steering wheel hub which has a longitudinal axis and can be attached coaxially on a rotatably mounted steering spindle, and a steering wheel rim which is attached on the steering wheel hub at a radial spacing from the longitudinal axis and extends in a planar manner transversely with respect to the longitudinal axis. The steering wheel rim is mounted on the steering wheel hub in a bearing such that it can be inclined with respect to the longitudinal axis between an operating position and a stowed position about an inclination axis which lies transversely with respect to the longitudinal axis. The steering wheel rim is inclined at a flatter angle with respect to the longitudinal axis in the stowed position than when in the operating position.
