A hydraulically damped bearing for a piston engine has a liquid-filled working chamber that communicates with the compensating chamber by means of a duct-type conduit. The effective length of the conduit can be shortened by arbitrarily actuating a relief valve, which is arranged between the outlets of the conduit that communicate with the working and compensating chambers. The respective distances between the valve and the outlets are dimensioned so that the liquid volume contained in the linear section defining the effective length L of the conduit vibrates essentially in phase with the bearing member when vibrations of a frequency corresponding to the idling speed are introduced.

A rubber bearing, in which a liquid-filled working chamber is bounded by an expanding member and by a compensating wall that is capable of moving back and forth in the direction of the working chamber, wherein the compensating wall consists at least partially of a material that is capable of being moved by magnetic forces and extends relatively movably with one partial area into an air gap between mutually opposing electromagnets, which are capable of receiving an electric current. A controllable rubber bearing with a hydraulic damping device, in which a fluid-filled working space is limited by a plate of magnetizable material. The plate is supported on a spring at least partially. The plate can be moved back and forth in the direction of the working space, as a function of preset parameters, using a magnet system. The support element comprises at least two opposite partial elements at least within the axial expanse of the magnet coil, which are separated from one another by an electrically insulating layer. The insulating layer extends parallel to the direction of motion of the plate and is essentially perpendicular to at least one groove of the support element, which can be made of soft iron or a moldable magnetizable material.

Hydraulically damped rubber mounting with eddy current suppression

A resilient mount for a piston engine, in which two liquid-filled working chambers (1, 2) are provided that are bounded by elastically inflatable boundary walls and are connected by at least two connecting passageways arranged in parallel. The connecting passageways include a damping passageway (6) which is arbitrarily closable by a valve (7). The damping passageway (6) forms a duct and which is so dimensioned that the enclosed liquid mass enters into a relative vibrating movement in phase with the piston engine, when the piston engine operates at idle speed, with an amplitude which is greater than the amplitude of the movements of the engine, multiplied by the ratio of the displacement cross section of the inflatable boundary walls (3) and the cross sectional area of the damping passageway (6).

Resilient mount for a piston engine

A hydraulically damped rubber bearing includes a journal bearing, a bearing member and an annular spring element of elastic material forming a bearing spring having a perpendicular axis of deformation. The bearing spring is disposed between the journal bearing and the bearing member. A fluid-filled working chamber is surrounded by the journal bearing, bearing member and bearing spring. A compensation chamber is connected in fluid communication with the working chamber via a damping port. At least one relief spring is formed of a substantially non-creeping and/or non-settling material. The relief spring is connected in parallel with the bearing spring to support the journal bearing on the bearing member when the rubber bearing is load.

A hydraulically damped rubber bearing has a working chamber defined by a rubber-elastic spring member, a bearing member, a journal bearing, and an end wall, which is flexibly movable in the direction of the working chamber. The end wall is provided with an elastic suspension mount that can be forced into abutment with a stop surface in dependence upon predetermined parameters. The suspension mount is connected directly to the journal bearing and the stop surface is formed as a rigid part of the journal bearing. A control device selectively permits free movement of the end wall when acoustically disturbing vibrations are introduced into the bearing.

Rubber bearing having hydraulic damping means

A rubber mounting which has a hydraulic damping device for damping vibrations of a predetermined frequency including a working and equalization chamber (6, 4) joined by a connecting passage (10) and filled with a hydraulic liquid. The connecting passage (10) is channel-like configured and dimensioned such that when subject to vibrations of the frequency to be damped the enclosed liquid volume can be made to resonate and such that the connecting passage (10) is narrowed to a throttle (12) only in the area of a point which is narrowly defined in axial direction.

Rubber mounting

A hydraulically damped rubber mounting in which a liquid filled working chamber 1 is bounded in at least a first partial area by a plate 3 which is made of a magnetizable material and supported on a spring 2. Depending upon the parameters, the plate 3 can be moved back and forth in direction of the working chamber 1 by means of a magnetic system. The transmission of acoustically effective vibrations via the rubber mounting can thus be suppressed.

Hydraulically damped rubber mounting

A hydraulic damped rubber bearing includes a damping devices for damping low and high-frequency vibrations. A damping device for low-frequency vibrations utilizes throttle or resonant effects and a damping device for high-frequency vibrations above 10 Hz utilizes a flexibly expandable waveguide, which is closed off at the end distal the working chamber by an element having a reflection-free resistance to flow.
